WOW. I m glad to see this album here. This band is one of rockhistories most highskilled and talented bands with three leadsingers. The drummer, Roy Ward, has the best rockvoice I ever heard. If I should describe this music? Maybe a mix between Bee Gees and UFO. The songs start slow and easy and the heavier tunes sneak in after a while. I rated this album 10/10. Its a Buy-Buy. But listen one or two times on the album then you cannot be without it. |

YES! Title track on this is one of the greatest all time rock songs in my book. Fantastic vocal harmonies here. Band LION'S SHARE does a great cover of this track on their "Fall From Grace" CD. If you've never heard CITY BOY before definitely start with this one! |

Man I wish I had this, as I understand it's their hardest rocking effort. I've only heard the hits package, with a few of these tunes. Overall I'd put their sound as a kind of glam-prog, somewhere beyond Supertramp or Little River, towards Sparks, Tubes, or Sweeny Todd. But I defer to those lucky enough to have heard the total output. Luckily I've heard the title track, as well as the Lion's share version. Great song! |
