Just received this CD and could not wait to hear it. Started off really well but after the 3 or 4th track it gets boring! On a postie note it does sound very much like the Styx's of old but it's missing more rockers. The production is pretty good, but for me their mission was a failure!

An interesting listen for me, gonna take a few spins in my opinion. Our first time really hearing the influence of Gowan in the group. I too also hear some Styx of old in a few of the songs. Concept albums are difficult, the individuality of the songs is sometimes lost. But on a good note, awesome to see these guys working hard, putting out new music.

Awesome disc! It takes guts to make album like The Mission in this day and age. Nice concept, flawless musicianship and some great tunes. All real Styx fans are going to love it.
