THIS BAND IS SO FUCKING GREAT!!!! There isn't enough words to describe the fantastic music of Styx. Suite madam blue is the greatest song on Earth.

This release is their career highwater mark! Not a bad track on this one. Great blend of strong songwriting, harmonies, prog rock leanings, and loud guitar mixes....Truly a classic!

BEST POMP CD/ALBUM EVER !!!!! This is what pomp is all about ! The song 'Mother Dear' is so brilliant ! Can't believe it ! Still, after all these years, it takes me to heaven ! But all songs are great. Styx was one of the all time greatest, certainly with Dennis Deyoung in the line-up ! And Arnold, freddy de keyze is not that bad a guy, I think ! Strange he isn't on the net nomore. What happened to the guy ? His comments were always fun, but he knew what he talked about ! The same cannot be said

Amazing sound seemingly out from nowhere! This one was a superb album, to be listened to on 10 (or 11 if you have it).

From: Remastered Reason Date: March 19, 2006 at 23:48
There is no denying this is the best Styx album, pre Tommy Shaw. "Light Up", "Lorelei", & "Suite Madame Blue" are all classics & hints of the huge success the band would enjoy throughout the rest of the 70's.

In one word - AWESOME! The culmination of writing, touring for several years definitely came together on this classic release. Every track is damn good, imho! One of my all-time fave Styx releases, period! A reunion of this line-up (save Chuck P. R.I.P.) would be absolutely great! Crank it up as loud as possible! My rating 96/100

From: 780'sRocked Date: April 9, 2008 at 8:01
er, make that John P. (R.I.P.), my apologies to Chuck!
