Total let-down. Styx blew it with this one. The songs don't cut it and fall well below the high standard that was established 20 years ago. Avoid. |

Although unable to capture the spirit of the classic STYX records, I consider this a great CD. Some crap songs, but it's made up for with great moments such as the titletrack and some more. Give it a try before you decide. The ballads are brilliant as always! Don't be so hard on them Koogles! |

Yeah, Whatever Javier said. |

If you like music, especially music with substance (and there's a lot of that here) then I can easily recommend Brave New World to you. If you are at cynical about the human species and the peculiar way we conduct ourselves, then I can recommend this to you. If you looking for an album that will change your world, that will change what you know about music, that will challenge you...then you'll have to look elsewhere. |

It's a comfortable fit, the playing here is great, the production is great and there are some beautiful melodies. There are some rockers here, too - "Everything Is Cool," "Heavy Water," and "Number One," but for the most part this is a mature Styx, aiming for an equally aged audience...the baby-boomers really (say 35-45). |

It's really nice album.....lack of outstanding tunes(maybe except While There's Still Time )but if you like DeYoung and Shaw vocals you will like this....be open and give it a try... |

Ooops. Please ignore my previous post. I actually have this album and have had so for quite a long time. It's obviously so good I forgot all about it! Hmmmm... I think it half sucks quite badly and half rocks quite nicely if memory serves me right. Kinda a suckit'nsee album. Definitely not the Styx I've just discovered via that Extended Versions live set! |

Lame songs, awful sleeve...check out the back...could've been done on Bryce in less than a minute! The title track is good but that is about it. So disappointing after previous class releases! |

If you listen to this with an open mind, you will probably like a few of the tracks...if your name's AOR Freaky, you probably wont. haha, sorry Freddy! I Will Be Your Witness, While There's Still Time and What Have They Done To You are great tracks and its a shame they got stuck on this record with some of the second rate tunes that surround it. Fortunately, Styx corrected these problems for Cyclorama. Not essential, but a good listen for the aforementioned tracks. |

Not too consistent...some good tracks but plain and simple...kind of strange because in here you can find the great Dennis DeYoung accompanied by the very talented Tommy Shaw ...my favourite is "Brave New World"...other goodies could be the nice ones "I Will Be Your Witness" & "Goodbye Roseland" plus "Fallen Angel","Everything Is Cool" & "Heavy Water"...an ok album...that's all...85/100 |
