The 2019 Heavy Harmonies Donation Drive!

It's that time of the year again: The annual Heavy Harmonies donation drive to cover the site expenses for the year. It will run through April 30, details over on the Heavy Harmonies Forum.

Every donation helps, no matter how small. If you can't afford $20 for the year, give $10. If you can't afford $10, give $5. It's just once a year and keeps the lights on.

And if you happen to be fortunate enough to make 6 figures or more a year, feel free to give gobs of cash!... I'm not too proud to have a sugar daddy or seven :)

Thank you for supporting Heavy Harmonies!

If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Praying Mantis CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Praying Mantis are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

With the name of this band and most of the Spinal Tap-esque album covers of this band's discography, ears unheard you would be expecting a possible doom metal act. This band's image is heavier than they sound bouncing from hard rock territory to AOR. The P M's never got a major labor deal as I remember them being a blip on the radar back in the day, but the band's style was never really my cup of tea, moderately liking a handful of their tunes. When I heard the first released track " The One" from this album I was impressed as the new singer John “Jaycee” Cuijpers which I haven't heard since "Cooper Inc. – Pulling The Trigger (2009)" sings with range and emotion on this nice AOR track, and is easily the best set of pipes the band has had in their 30 year + history. There are a couple other good tracks on the album, as I'm not a full fledged fan( MANT MAN) yet, but this album is a pleasant listen.

Great record, great CD! Perfect songs. This is for me one the best releases from 2015 indeed. "The One" is a terrific track! and defines this album. Buy or Die! 90/100
