Heavy Harmonies Review | |
From: Dan | Date: March 16, 2003 at 23:46 |
Ok, get ready folks! The first in a spate of reviews of Spanish AOR/hard rock bands. This is an album that was recorded in 1989, seeing the light of day on CD for the first time. Musically, it is keyboard-driven hard rock. Big choruses and lots of melodies. The lead vocalist has a rather thick accent, which can at times, get a little annoying, but musically this album is quite sound. If you need a stylistic comparison, think of early Europe. Certainly nothing innovative here, but the execution is quite good. The choruses are where the material shines. If you like your keyboards pronounced and the style vintage '80s, look no further. Rating: 80/100 |

No os perdaís 'Face to Face', 'Give me a chance' o 'Do It'. |

THIS COULD EASYLY BE DESCRIBED AS THE SPANISH ANSWER TO EUROPE(THE FINAL COUNTDOWN ERA)AND TO BE HONEST ITS NOT BAD AT ALL ON THE OTHER HAND I THINK THEY MANAGED TO MAKE A GOOD RELEASE.THE ONLY DOWNPOINT IN HERE IS THAT VOCALS HAVE A BIT OF AN ACCENT BUT WHO CARES WHEN THE SONG MATERIAL IS GOOD RIGHT?!GIVE IT A GO YOU COULD BE SURPRISSED. |

That's such a shit. How can one allow to release that piece to come to our ears?? I like the most, if you can say so, 'Bluesman'. And at first 'glance' liked 'We want peace' as well. But be honest: It's laughable cliché-adapted crap! |

An abundance of keyboards, average music and very poor vocals. Really, there is nothing favourable I can take away from this CD at all. Tried to sell it one ebay but didn't even sell. If you like the debut Dark Sky album you'll love this one, but I don't personally think it's good at all... well below average. |
