|Kenny Wayne Shepherd does some great guitar work on two songs. A really good album after a couple of times through.

|Very tight musically ala Nashville session players - good song-writing, more melodice than Johnny's work with Skynyrd (radio worthy "What's the world coming to?"). Good guitar work on Oklahoma, Baby Get Blue, & (especially) Wildside. And those are the cuts that Kenny Wayne DOESN'T play on - his playin' is good as you would expect. This one appealed to me quicker than did Skynyrd's "Edge of Forever" (which I now love). Overall, a strong, strong release! 9/10

|pretty good release for VAN ZANT in their usual sound with classic hard rock songs with a slight southern feel and always with a commercial edge!"oklahoma","is it for real" and "alive" are the standout songs and overall a satisfying release
