An all-star band. What does it sound like?

From: CC Date: February 15, 2020 at 21:57
If only there were these things called YouTube and Spotify where you can check out what bands sound like.

Imagine it´s early 90s, we´re still having fun and nobody has even heard of grunge. Somehow this album found a loophole and time traveled from those happy times to present day. Shake the World is a Winger/McAuley Schenker Group/Dokken amalgam and a fantastic album. Thank god for these awesome fellas who still know how to do it. So what are you waiting for, go get this one asap!

From: Auslander Date: February 17, 2020 at 22:58
Thanks atomic, no thanks passive aggressive CC. Try to get a conversation happening and shot down by another keyboard warrior!

From: Doug Date: February 24, 2020 at 22:07
I really like this album, I just wish these sort of bands could stick together, instead of a means to an end to pay the bills. Pilson and Beach are already back to Dokken, Foreigner, Winger and Whitesnake gigs.

Well...a nice surprise this one is.Very well crafted stuff here-To be honest 'Immortal Souls' & 'Make It There' have to be two of the best tunes ive heard in at least 25 years and im not quick to heap praise on anything.Hat tip to McAuley for sounding this good into his late 60's...Black Swan will probably never see a stage due to the obvious hurdles but it should, good music will always have an audience.

Auslander, its not about being passive aggressive or being a keyboard warrior, its about using common sense and the tools available to you instead of asking ridiculous questions. How the fuck do you think I discovered this band? By using social media and youtube to listen to songs by them before the album even came out. Asking what you asked is not starting a conversation now is it.

CC, not looking to add "fuel to the fire", but I read these boards to see what other posters have to say as far as what they "hear" (what does it sound like), and their impressions of the music, who they might compare the band/vocals/style to, etc. So yes, we can go to other sites to hear samples, but I thought the whole point of these boards was to bring it a step further to discuss and share the music we all love.

Very Good Hard Rock! agree with aTomiK about early 90's style here "Shake The World, Big Disaster, Immortal Souls, Make It There, The Rock That Rolled Away, Long Road To Nowhere" fav songs, 85/100.

Been listening to this some more, really like it. I commented earlier that while these collaborations are great, I wish they would stick. Reading the liner notes, it's clear Robin McCauley was really excited about this project, but (and I blame stupid COVID) we're not hearing much about of the "Swans" these days. Bummer....

From: Oskar Date: March 4, 2022 at 10:49
McAuley, Beach, Pilson, Starr. Can you ask for more? Essential.

Solid album. Love "Make It There". This album seems to have better production/recording than typical Frontiers release.
