By the way, who do these guys sound like? I rarely listen to any music past '93. Very rarely do I hear a good tune from newer bands.

Tim.....I don't think they can be compared to anyone but I guess if I had to pick a band then I would say Safire.....(I know)...who is safire right?....lol.......Trust me on this one and buy the Jap version that comes with the bonus song called 'A Million Tears'....Every thing I like is 80's and early 90's but this cd is too good to pass up and one listen to the song 'Shake Me' will have ya hooked...'smiles'

'spins around singing shake me baby'.......sorry I couldn't resist cuz I just love that tune and have it playing....This cd is worth buying but their second cd called Hard Impact is a little more heavier and not as good as this one...Buy this cd cuz You will love it!!!!....The tune called 'Me and You is a Great Ballad.....The Jap version of this cd comes with the bonus tune called 'A Million Tears' and it's a cool song......I rate them a 10 out of 10

I have the thrid CD and soon I will have the first two, its okay, typicall Melodict european hard rock, in some songs you can see influences of power metal bands like Stratovarius or Helloween but it is mainly Hard Rock with a singer that sounds a bit like Mike Tramp...it has pretty good songs and the CD is above average, eventhough not a great fan of Euro hard rock i think they made a pretty good album. Buy'? Well they are not Dokken, Ratt or Cinderella but they may be one of the best bands rou

I was pretty surprised by these guys, they really have a good sound here. This is totally European flavored hard rock, with a very minor touch of progressive thrown in. Not quite Dream Theater mind you, but plenty of twirling keyboards and a few good time changes to break songs up. There is also a healthy mix of US stadium rock in the sound. Big traditional hard rock songs, with punching guitars, huge choruses and hooks a plenty fill this album.

Hey Purrfect Cat, 'Hard Impact' is the best album by far !!! Just brilliant, especially Soul Mate. And Queen of the night. They are great live, too. I had never heard about Crystal Ball when I saw them supporting dokken. And Marc Sweeney did a better job than Don (even though that wasn't too hard)!!! And don't be afraid, you're still in my head...

Oh Tim, how I wish I could have assisted earlier. Who do these guys sounds like? I thought it was as obvious as daylight to all - Victory, of course. A dead-ringer at times, which suits me fine. The riffs are huge, the choruses just as big and this is one f*cker of an excellent hard rock release. Check out the massive hooks on 'Shake me','Leave me alone','Magic' and the amazing ballad, 'Me and you'. Excellent melodic hard rock release! 8/10

This CD is one of my all-time favorites. The first time I heard this, my jaw hit the floor so hard it shattered like glass, and I drooled so much that my wife nearly had to build an ark. Insanely huge hooks, unbelievably massive choruses, and wall-of-sound gang backing vocals make this one a true winner. The ballad 'Me and You' alone makes this one a must-own. In the beginning, God created a perfect world; approx. 10,000 years later, Crystal Ball created a perfect melodic hard rock album.
