"How can YOU not like ROLL WITH THE CHANGES"?.......... I'll tell you how! These guys are OVER RATED! Thats how........ I have heard more of these guys than I need to in one life time. REO (just like the Eagels) are burned out! OVERKILL!! Don't need it, don't want it, so go away.

Cronin wrote 3 songs for this album, and Richrath wrote 4. The rest they co-wrote. It was a near perfect collaboration between two guys who did their best in a tension filled environment, working as each other's ying and yang. REO's 1977 Live Album along with this 1978 album were among their best, before Cronin's domineering ego turned the band into a predictable cheesy pop machine.

WOW an orgasm-I would have liked to see that (SIC). This is a great album and very typical of the day. This 9 Lives and Hi Infidelity were a triumverate of albums that set up REO. This was the first of the 3 and set the tone for the near perfect 9 Lives. This is full of catchy melodic rock anthems such as Roll With The Changes and Time For Me To Fly. Maybe its an age thing but I recall fond memories when listening.

Hey Marla us oldies are goodies!!!!! I love these late 70's albums. I was quite young at the time but old enough to appreciate the music.First smoke, snog, drink, fumble were all listening to REO, Boston, Van Halen, KISS, Starz, Angel and Legs Diamond.

Phil I like the way you think!The live one and this, to me were REO's best stuff.I say this was their last really good album.I used to play this constantly!I'm with you Marla and Rockhead,nothing but good memories of this!Email me if you want @ ps91sheltersme@aol.com.Roll w/the Changes, great,also, the last three songs I loved!Especially The Tuna Trot! Such a shame the musical dive that they took.But this was REO at their peak!Get this one and get the live one,neither one will dissappoint.

Roll with the changes is worth the price of admission, alone. Gary Richrath kicked major butt with this one. Great standout musicianship.

"Time for me to Fly" is a great radio friendly track. "Lucky for You" does have some nice interplay between Richrath & Doughty. "Do You Know Where Your Woman Is Tonight" seems like it could have been an Eagles leftover from the "Hotel California" album. "Unidentified Flying Tuna Trot" is a instrumental tune that has potential but is probably better suited for a live performance format. Overall, this album is not great but it does spawn their best tune ever with "Roll with the Changes". Sonically it is killer. It has some beefy chords & drums to begin, then builds into a seemingly continual crescendo. Finally, a massive guitar wail ends this smoking track. An outstanding tune for which this album can be remembered by.

GREAT CLASSIC ROCK MASTERPIECE ALL THE WAY THROUGH. GREAT ALBUM. AWESOME IN CONCERT AND CERTAINLY 1 OF THE TOP BANDS OF ALL TIME. A MUST OWN CD. READ THE LYRICS SOMETIME.

Neal Doughty plays his ass off on the first track of this record, his work flows so well with Gary that it's almost in perfect unison. Four really great songs on Side A so strong that they make SIDE B sound like filler. Love the instrumental Gary!
