Tracks 1,9,10 need deleted and replaced with the two rare tracks they put on the "Hits" cd. I don't want to lose you, and Here With Me would have made this one classic.

Gag me! No wonder Gary Richrath refered to this album as "LIFE AS KEVIN BLEW IT." On the last track, Cronin sings, "I’m tired of gettin’ nowhere, wish I was inspired, but it’s just not there. I hope this doesn’t last." Well, it did last. The whole album goes absolutely nowhere. Fast. Cronin wrote "One Too Many Girlfriends" about Gary Richrath. Ironically, Cronin's wife was suing him for divorce for running around with a dozen other women. Ahh....karma. It works even for musicians.

VEO QUE A LA MAYORIA NO LES GUSTA ESTE GRUPO, A MI SI, SON PARTICULARES EN SU ESTILO, ESTE PARA MI SU MEJOR ALBUM, BUENO NO TENGO OTROS DE ELLOS PERO ESTE TIENE MUY BUENOS TEMAS, Variety Tonight ES UN TREMENDO TEMA DE AOR. SI NO TIENES NADA DEL GRUPO CONSIGUETE ESTE GRAN ALBUM. SALUDOS MUCHACHOS.

This album, though not hardly on par with their early 80's material, still offers some huge AOR tunes like "Variety Tonight" & "That Ain't Love". Moreover, the typical REO ballad "In My Dreams" is as good as anything they have done. Overall, it's their last decent album.

"screams&whispers" was the"track" of this album at least 4 me.By the way i agree with Rafo Phoenix,i think there's so much hatred for this band without a reason.Let's all enjoy music wich is a gift of life!.all comments are respected but to thrash down a band just 'cos you don't like it doesn't mean that everything they record is crap. All bands have internal fights(that's a natural thing as eating an hamburger at Mcdonalds)but at least they bring happiness to our ears.Enough said.

I love this album and I love REO. For me 'In My Dreams' is the best thing they've ever done. Look, they may not be to everybody's taste and they certainly have thir quieter moments, for which they make no apologies, but they do offer a lot for everybody to like if given the chance. 'That Ain't Love', 'Variety Tonight', 'Screams and Whispers' and the aforementioned '...Dreams' are all highlights and offer some great AOR treats. 90/100.

pretty good release for REO SPEEDWAGON back in 87 with their radio friendly approach always on the front of things !the musicianship is very good as expected and songwriting just ok with "that aint love" being the highlight!i must also add that i really like Gary s way &sound in this particular one!good stuff

woah, six filler tracks, not something I am used to from this great band. The four singles are classic, I think I would have made Screams and Whispers be single #4 over Variety Tonight which kinda sputtered. Alan grew tired of touring and would leave soon, the struggles with Gary would lead to him leaving after the tour as well. They got back together to polish up the HITS collection afterwards.
