I'm not real crazy about Ole's music. He obviously has a big following on Ebay though.

From: David Date: August 2, 2002 at 5:17
Apart from Swedish Erotica who do these guys sound like? P.S. The reason they sounds like Swedish Eroctica is because part of the band are the excellent SWEDISH EROTICA.

From: Purrfect Kat Date: August 2, 2002 at 10:10
ahh you figured out....lol

From: Purrfect Kat Date: August 2, 2002 at 10:16
(oops typo)..Figured it out even is what I meant to say........It's hard sometimes to just recall a band on the spot without throwing on their cd for a more accurate description...It would take me about 2 hours to try and find this cd so I will take a shot and say...Evenrude is something like Johnny Lima......dunno if this helps ya.

From: TIM Date: August 2, 2002 at 12:04
Kat, were you crazy about Sleazy Roze? I thought they were overrated. They are on here if you want to comment.

From: TIM Date: August 2, 2002 at 12:07
Your comments are welcome too David, I didn't know if you'd heard Sleazy Roze or not. Look under Sleazy Roze and see how much I overpaid. I was expecting a lot from them. By the way Kat, PJ sold it to me.

From: heartthrob bob Date: November 18, 2002 at 12:36
Ole does cheezy euro arena rock but it's always got great production & strong choruses. I find it far superior to Swedish Erotica. Well worth the eBay $$ fi you can't be bothered with Kazaa

From: Teo_3 Date: December 19, 2002 at 20:58
Excellent ScandiRock band with extra catchy tunes and with production to go with it.You do not need "X-Ray Specs" to see that this album is a jewel.Well worth its money.Everything Ole touches it becomes gold.Chech out SWEDISH EROTICA as well. The best bands alongside DA VINCI,TREAT & DALTON!!

From: ARXONTAS Date: January 26, 2003 at 10:43
Teo_3 said it all for me.Just i want to add in Teo's 3 comments that this album has something for all fans ,A.O.R /Hard Rock plus a party sleaze feeling in two songs. Finally worths every single euro or dollar you will spend for this album...10+ on ArxontaS scale...Absolutely No Alternative...

From: Teo_3 Date: February 26, 2003 at 22:24
And if you wanna have something from Ole but can't find his album then go and get the albums from BAI BANG.It's a band that ole produced their albums.Their last one called "Attitudes" have most of the songs from this album plus some from the Swedish Erotica first jewel.Go and GET it!!!

From: RR-Finland Date: September 3, 2003 at 6:31
I prefer X-Ray Specs and Desperado in Sha-Boom album, but these are really killers in this record too. Very catchy melodies and great vocals from Ole. Make My Day,Home Sweet Home and Raise You Fist.. are real ones too. I don´t know how many people listens this record (or Sha-Boom bands stuff) nowadays, but I deffinitely do. And I like it a lot :headbanger: ...and honey, I ain´t talkin´ ´bout sex, I wearing X-RAY SPECS! Recommended!

From: tomcat Date: September 3, 2003 at 7:03
the song 'broken heart' is top aor , or not? olé ole

From: Dreamhunter Date: February 16, 2004 at 19:55
wonderfull piece of Melodic Hard Rock !!! Production is as clean as Europe's Out of this world .. Nice Keyboards .. Guitar solos that reminds me of Kee Marcello .. although considered a Scandi hard rock record it doesn't have the same feel as early Treat, Dalton etc ... do yourself a favor and listen to the song X-RAY SPECS !!!

From: aorquest Date: March 29, 2004 at 12:07
One thing I have to say about this cd. AWESOME! I love this guy's voice. Tracks I can really relate to are Never Say Die, and I don't need a broken heart. Ole, keep it coming. You and Swedish Erotica are unstoppable. Rock on!

From: Gringo Date: March 31, 2004 at 17:24
Friggin' awesome album! One of the best I've heard in a long time.

From: TIM (2) Date: May 12, 2004 at 9:53
Great stuff, is like Bryan Adams with more keyboards. A few really average songs with cringe-worthy lyrics (see comments on "X-Ray Specs" above), but some corking AOR tunes and with Robin Beck guesting on background vocals. Not sure it's worth the eBay price though...

From: Junktown Date: May 20, 2004 at 21:29
One of the best albums ever and this album released in 1989 if you have a chance don't stop for a while and get it, you'll like it

From: TIM (2) Date: June 2, 2004 at 4:38
P.s. Not sure about the track-listing either, my CD kicks off with "Never Say Die" and the rest of the order is totally different... Have to mention the production also, the crisp sound is very reminicent of the Valentine S/T CD (due to Neil Kernon producing). Sound-wise this reminds me of a slightly more AOR Stage Dolls...

From: jessica96fish Date: September 24, 2004 at 7:52
thia ain't bad.it grows on ya.but i must say that sha boom do his songs better.as do other bands that have covered his tunes.this one is still worth getting imo.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 7, 2004 at 11:24
EL PRIMER HISPANO QUE OPINA DE ESTE TREMENDO ALBUM, POR AHI HAY MUCHOS QUE NO QUIEREN VERME EN ESTA PAGINA PERO YO SEGUIRE DANDO MIS COMENTARIOS PARA AQUELLOS QUE SI QUIEREN OPINIONES DE ALGUIEN QUE CONOCE BIEN ESTE GENERO AOR/ROCK-HARD MELODICO. HABLANDO DEL ALBUM UN GRAN ALBUM ESCANDINAVO, TEMAS COMO X-Ray Specs (LA JOYA PARA LOS MUCHACHOS Q COMENTARON ARRIBA), Make My Day QUE RICA CANCION CON UN CORO DE UNA CHICA MUY BUENA, Desperado UN TEMA CON FUERZA, Broken Heart UNA BALADA CON PUNCHE.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 7, 2004 at 11:33
Home Sweet Home (A LO TRIXTER)UN GRAN TEMA QUE ME ROBO EL CORAZON Y LA JOYA DEL ALBUM PARA MI Never Say Die UN TEMA DEMOLEDOR DE PRINCIPIO A FIN, OTRA DE MIS TOP 100 DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS. ALBUMS COMO ESTOS SON A LOS QUE CONSIDERO GRANDES. GRANDE EL Ole Evenrude. ADQUIERAN EL ALBUM Y SAQUEN UDS MISMOS SUS PROPIAS CONCLUSIONES. SALUDOS DESDE ICA-PERU. LO MEJOR PARA LOS VERDADEROS AMANTES DE ESTE GENERO.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 7, 2004 at 11:37
MUCHOS ALBUMS DESCONOCIDOS COMO ESTE PASAN DESAPERCIBIDOS, MUCHOS SOLO ADQUIEREN O CONOCEN A LOS GRUPOS FAMOSOS (PURO MARKETING), TREMENDO ERROR LOS MEJORES ALBUMS PARA MI ESTAN EN LOS GRUPOS MENOS FAMOSOS. A SEGUIR BUSCANDO ESAS JOYAS DESCONOCIDAS. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH.

From: Geoff Date: March 1, 2005 at 5:26
I believe 6 songs here ended up on Bai Bang discs, and all sound better there. This is good for Dag Finn / Sha Boom fans... and of course Ole's other work. It's nice AOR with simple and sometimes irritating lyrics. Recommended, but nowhere near that price above. Easily CDR material.

From: minized Date: April 8, 2005 at 11:36
This one will be rereleased via MTM Classix in June. Can't wait.

From: TIM (2) Date: April 11, 2005 at 5:46
This will be available from Musicbuymail.com with bonus tracks (probably rubbish), and if you've bought recent Scandi gems like PEO, NOVAK, SHA-BOOM etc then this is a no-brainer as it's better than all of these discs IMO.

From: R.S. - Rocks Date: April 16, 2005 at 6:57
A lot of ebay- auctions for this cd at the moment. Seems that a lot of people trying to sell the original pressing before the re- release comes out June 13´th. This is your chance to get the original cd for a low price.

Heavy Harmonies Volunteer
From: Jez Date: July 18, 2005 at 13:41
Another timely MTM re-issue, as prices for this one were getting silly. If 'Scandie' is your thing then get this one as it really is a great album. OK nothing to be taken too seriously here especially lyric wise, and to be brutally honest I'm not the biggest fan of Ole Evenrude in the vocal department either. What makes this stand out is the quality of the songs, which is the most important thing. Bonus tracks wise - pretty good although 'Werewolf' strays into Billy Idol territory at times.

From: Wotty Date: August 19, 2005 at 15:53
Got my copy today and put simply, this is similar to Sha-Boom,or vice-versa due to the fact that it's tongue-in-cheek,good time Scandi rock that doesn't have a serious edge to it.

From: hekkktor Date: September 24, 2005 at 15:16

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: September 24, 2005 at 16:40

From: victordeaor Date: September 26, 2005 at 4:59

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: September 26, 2005 at 10:18

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:07

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:08

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:09
y hasta el track list es diferente=1)NEVER SAY DIE-2)DESPERADO-3)BROKEN HEART-4)25 YEARS OF RNR-5)PEEPIN TOM-6)MAKE MY DAY-7)HOME SWEET HOME-8)STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU-9)RAISE YOUR FIST & SHOUT-10)X-RAY SPECS..me parece genial la voz del tipo es un cruce entre BRYAN ADAMS con ALICE COOPER pero en version escandinavo,y que decir de los bonus tracks que tambien vale comprar la reedicion 11)WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD-12)WEREWOLF-13)FOFD-14)SHE LOOKS LIKE A BILLION BUCKS.asi que basta de pagar tanto

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:10

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:15

From: Lovedrive Date: January 6, 2006 at 14:26
Me gusta mucho el tema "Make my day"

From: pereira Date: January 6, 2006 at 14:55
ESTO ES REALMENTE MUY BUENO!!! Y KE DECIR DEL SONIDO?? - MUY BUENO... NO! - BUENISSIMO, TODOS LOS INSTRUMENTOS, LA VOZ, SE ESCUCHAN A LA PERFECCION!!! MUXAS GRACIAS MTM!!!

From: caritosmatanza Date: January 27, 2006 at 17:44
Me encanta.9/10

From: caritosmatanza Date: January 27, 2006 at 17:46
Repito:discazo: 9/10

From: SCANDI Date: March 16, 2006 at 19:01
As some people now already said, I like his songs played by other artists more. His voice is awful. Songwise it's OK, but as it is with other artists he worked with songs are a bit too smooth & too much the same. But that shouldn't mean he doesn't produce good music. However, I have "X-Ray spects" in the SHA-BOOM version & I enjoy it much more. That "Werewolf" version here is as well the better when played by SHA-BOOM. 8,4/10

From: garden Date: May 26, 2006 at 21:51
evenrudes best song "this town ain't big enough for the both of us" is on another album called "this ole town" or the best of collection "høy og mørk- de beste". that song is a must for all rock fans and others too. very melodic.

From: Julian_Rawnie_G Date: June 8, 2006 at 16:08
HEY!!! I just got this CD and I think it's a helluva hard rockin record!!!! I think the strack No11 was covered by Bai Bang In the "Attitude" CD! If I'm wrong please correct me!!!

From: lalorock Date: June 13, 2006 at 16:11

From: kipjuanjo Date: November 27, 2006 at 5:30

From: Retro Date: November 27, 2006 at 20:06

From: aorteto Date: November 27, 2006 at 22:15

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 28, 2006 at 17:43

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 28, 2006 at 17:54

From: aorteto Date: November 28, 2006 at 19:41
ahhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 29, 2006 at 9:28

With the exeption of 2 or 3 songs, this cd does absolutely nothing for me. Cheezy lyrics, uninspiring songs & awful off key vocals. But i'm happy i spent $ on the reissue rather than forking out the big $$$ for this.

From: Zoner Date: August 11, 2008 at 5:59
Man I love this cd it's a timeless classic for me! There is no fillers on this album and I prefer Evenrude's original version to some cover bands like Sha-Boom and Bai Bang. Standout tracks are "Make My Day" (Robin Beck did a good job with backing vocals), "Still In Love With You", "Never Say Die" and "X-ray Specs".

From: Zoner Date: August 11, 2008 at 6:02
Did I mentioned I have the original issue... that's why I give it 9,5/10. This classic album shall not be ruined by some crappy bonus tracks like Talk of the Town's debut.

A cult classic! 10/10

My total devotion for this immense artist and talent. This is a golden boy mate.I'll say forever W Evenrude and his kind of aor(the best ever for me),in effect Sha-Boom are among my fave 5 bands ever.Let's dream with songs like "Make My Day","Home Sweet Home" and "Still In Love With You".I still miss this one and I do have his first one as original first press, but I'll track down the re-issue of this one.Not an human rate about him.Long live to Ole!!!

Fantastic album...if you want catchy AOR/Rocking tracks then get this one a.s.a.p.!!!..."Never Say Die","Broken Heart","Make My Day","Still In Love With You" & "Raise Your Fist And Shout" are my favourites...production clean and a pleasant voice by Ole...i have the first printing edition of this album so obviously it doesn't have the bonus tracks and the order of the songs in my release is different...93/100

From: hair metal again Date: December 7, 2012 at 8:23
