Like a tour of Paris that includes the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Latin Quarter, this compilation contains all the Kansas tourist traps: "Dust in the Wind", "Song For America", "Carry On Wayward Son", etc. etc. Sure, these are classics but there's a lot more: "Point of Know Return" and "Leftoverture" are both worth seeking out in their entirety. Nothing off the under-rated "Monolith" (1979) is represented here and that's a damn shame. An excellent place to start for newly-minted fans. |

It's got all the Kansas songs any casual fan could want. That's the whole point of "Best of" albums anyway. It's too bad that all their albums couldn't have been represented by this release, but I think CBS was more interested in making a fast buck than putting out a more comprehensive collection. At least they did put the new song "Perfect Lover" on this. It's a pretty good song. |

By the way, this was reissued a few years back with a slightly different track listing. |

A pretty good primer for those interested in checking out Kansas. A word of advice though, try to find the original issue because if I'm not mistaken, the new one doesn't have "Perfect Lover". |

Perfect Lover is a great song. This is one of the rare bands where I liked the 'next' singer as much, sometimes MORE than the original! A shame how they try to bury his work amongst all things Kansas. 'Drastic Measures' and 'Vinyl Confessions' to a lesser degree are good records. |

All the Kansas that the basic fan would need. Collects their strong aor and hard rock songs ("Fight Fire With Fire", "Point Of Know Return", and "Carry On My Wayward Son") with a sampling of their prog tracks. 7/10 |

"Carry On Wayward Son" Siempre me ha encantado éste tema Todo un clásico y mi favorita de Kansas, "Fight Fire With Fire" otro tremendo clásico " Dust in the Wind" Mega-Hyper Conocida, "Hold On" y "Perfect Lover" buenas tb. Me gustan éstos temas muy por encimas de las otras que son muy "progresivas" para mi gusto. 8/10 |

Very pleasant compilation with songs that range from the early Pomp Prog Rock the band delivered to the AOR sound of mid 80's...tracks 1,3,4,6,9 & 10 are the ones for me.85/100 |
