For me it's an album that tries to be harder than most of their recent releases. It does this in certain areas but overall it reflects the Wilson sisters getting older (like all of us). It lacks that younger, in your face, I’m gonna take on the world, love is good, love is bad attitudes. I rated it an “80.” |

Don'y waste your money, This release is crap. It's time Heart stopped recording new material as they lost it a long time ago! Their live concerts are still strong as they live in the past. Maybe it's time they decide to call it quits! |

I don't get it, Red Velvet Car and now this? The box set they released was a huge disappointment and this album just falls flat. They are evolving into a sound that leaves the human sense of sound completely unsatisfied. They are not deep anymore. They released substandard material on Red Velvet Car, the box set was a huge, huge disappointment! The box set made me mad, they should have had a creative management group involved with the box set unbiased to Heart's different sounds throughout their entire catalog, the DVD was a joke as well. Now here is Fanatic, I was begging for my ears to like at least one song and I just couldn't. The book by the way was full of already told stories. I thought Ann might touch on the whole stalking thing she went through in the early 90's but I guess that was too private for a supposed tell all book. Heart needs new management, and they need to accept creative input. Ann & Nancy aren't in the business of marketing. Don't buy Fanatic. 1/10. |
