The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Frederiksen/Phillips CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. Like a movie with lots of big name actors that just doesn't quite live up to the expectations of its starpower, I felt Frederiksen/Philips, as a whole, was much less than the sum of its parts. My main bone of contention was the style of the CD. Rather than a pure AOR approach, there were some other bluesier elements that I felt didn't fit. As it stands, I regard Fergie Frederiksen's best work as Toto's 'Isolation' and his Trillion stuff. |

Once again I have to agree with koogles, this is not what we could expect from those very talented guys. Fergy is a fantastic singer, but this is indeed to varied and not AOR orientated enough. BUT !!!! There's one song on this record that beats everything else 'Oh Diane' is one of the most PERFECT AOR songs EVER. Listen to what Fergy is doing on that song (his best performance ever) and the bass and the keys are also awesome. For that song alone the CD is worth buying !!!!!!!! |

Yes Pier, I'm happy to read it : Oh Diane is one of the ultimati AOR songs. Better than this you won't find 'em. Every AOR fan should listen to that mastersong. Best performance by Fergie ever on this one ! BRILLIANT ! A pity the rest of the CD is not in the same vein ! |

As I live in the UK in a town that rock forgot,I managed to get this CD finally.I asked a mate on the net about it and he said it contained an AOR classic called OH DIANE.Well he was dead right,it is superb,as well as CAPTURED,classy. The rest is standard AOR but the stand out tracks are as previously mentioned.... |

Agree with the good comments above ...this is a good release that for me it sounds like Giant during the Time To Burn period but less rocking at certain parts,Westcoast???,not!!!..."Shot Down" is kinda bluesy, quite ,"Oh Diane" is definitively a highlight, great song,"How Much Longer" is another excellent shot,"Name Of Love" reminded me of Living Colour even tough i mentioned Giant but this one sounds just like a song taken fron any LC album ,"You Must Be A Liar" rocks good,"Hopelessly Lost" is a powerful solid ballad & "Long Way Around The World" closes the album pretty fine...91/100...great vocals courtesy of Fergie F & an amazing team of musicians starting with Ricky Phillips.. |

Wow..the guy that mentioned Fergies best works..ans DIDNT mention Leroux So Fired Up!!! fail Anyway..... I agree..the bluesy stuff...not apt here.... 3 class tracks though.... "Baby Blue Eyes" ... could have easily been on the Leroux album... with a couple keys layers added..... Oh Diane... grreat track..plus How Much Longer... could have been a Toto track....This album stands behind Isolation and So Fired Up for Fergie |
