From: Scott Date: February 5, 2003 at 19:47
A genuine heavy metal classic. No metal fan should be without this disc. It contains one of the very first speed metal/thrash songs 'Fast As a Shark.' (A song covered by Forte, Rage and Steel Prophet) 'Princess of the Dawn' is a concert favorite and was played live right up to the time Accept folded some ten years later. Actually there is not a bad song on this disc.

From: iaffprofireman Date: February 21, 2003 at 3:50
No doubt one of the best metal albums! Runs a close 2nd ( in my opinion ) to Balls To The Wall as far as their best. Even Accepts most recent stuff rocks, but it's this one and Balls.. that set the standard for this group. Great songs, check it out if you haven't already!

From: circuitprotecto Date: March 14, 2003 at 7:17
this should be named accept the best of

From: rising power Date: March 24, 2003 at 2:08
This is my second favourite Accept album after Balls to the wall. This albums got everything: fast songs(Fast as a shark), straight ahead rockers(Get ready,Flashrockin man), singalongs(Shake your heads,Don't go stealing my soul away), melancholic songs(Neon nights) and bombastic songs(Princess of the dawn).BRILLIANT!!!!!

From: RR-Finland Date: August 30, 2003 at 10:06
I've allways been Accept and U.D.O. fan and this is one of their finest releases. I remember when my big bro buy an old Toyota, he was underage and we drived that car like hell in a little roads and listened this record from a cassette player. Good memories. I also have that 'guitars on fire' cover, what guys above we're talking about.

From: Scandinavia Date: September 19, 2003 at 5:32
Unbelivable that 'Fast As A Shark' was possible at such an early point in metal history...And yes, the twin guitar cover is very cool! On the backcover you can actually see a guy with a firehose putting out the fire...

Scandinavia.

From: ashman Date: November 8, 2003 at 1:03
After listening to 'Metal Heart' routinely for 18 years, I'm a bit late picking up on probably the best ACCEPT release, but thanks to THIS WEBSITE, I now have possession of absolute metal perfection! This album has been in constant rotation since being pulled out of the mailbox just 3 days ago. Can't stop listening to it! All of the tracks are great and Wolf is definitely one of the best guitarists in the melodic metal genre. 10/10.

From: Scandinavia Date: December 21, 2003 at 9:37
Original cover needed here...This cover sucks

From: Blue Tequila Date: December 21, 2003 at 13:01

From: Big Papa K Date: June 19, 2004 at 1:25
Metal classic and the peak of Accept's career. 'Fast As a Shark' is one of the earliest speed metal tracks and is just fast as the title says. 'Princess Of The Dawn' is the perfect way to end the album. And in between these two you have classic metal anthems coming out one right after another. 10/10

Accept kicked major ass, I had the good fortune to see udo live supporting ozzy osbourne, he kicked serious ass, accept all time greats, and udo as there vocalist a legend, oh dont forget wolf hoffman he was a killer guitarist

From: metallian Date: December 7, 2004 at 13:29
This album rocks! It ROCKS!!! This is ACCEPT's best. Their strongest album. I love from the first track all the way to the end!! And killer guitars!!! Never liked Udo's voice that much, but he's a legend, alright!

From: Tom fr.Ganado,a Date: February 20, 2005 at 12:30
I grew up listening to Accept's Restless & Wild and recently when i got bored with all these idiots that are trying come up with some 'real' metal, i revisited the album and...shit!!...i couldn't believe how it sounds!!!! These guys ROCK!!! f*ck today's 'Nu Metal' and all that sh*t!!...these guys can still blow everyone away!!! I highly recommend Accept's Restless and Wild. Now go buy it!!!

From: Tom from AZ Date: February 20, 2005 at 12:39
by the way, Accept,...can you guys do a reunion tour and come to the 'states'...preferrably, AZ??????????????????????????????

From: robert arenz Date: April 9, 2005 at 17:21

man, what an album!!!!!!!! when it comes to 80's metal stuff, this is in the top five releases with no questions asked, this is just incredible and a classic. Fast as a Shark!!!!! wowowow, Restless and Wild, Neon Nights, Princess, again a classic

From: JUAN SG Date: April 12, 2005 at 20:52

From: Karmak Date: April 30, 2005 at 8:30

From: Blue Tequila Date: August 8, 2005 at 19:44
I remember tormenting our college dorm with tracks 1, 4 and 5 blaring through our speakers every time someone would crank up EMF or Jesus Jones. Fun Times! Neon Nights is a fantastic track and I love the classical guitar styling found in many of the solos.

From: figgy Date: November 22, 2005 at 6:31
Awesome cd.Had this on vinyl.Princess of the Dawn and Restless and Wild were my favorites.Remember many a days head banging to these tunes.

From: Nick C Date: June 13, 2006 at 21:13
Took this to a rock night not long after I bought it(Tiffanys Rochdale - Flying V cover too) and asked the DJ to play Fast as a Shark. Got up alone with the old air guitar and nodding head (lol) came off the floor and people kept coming up to me to ask who it was. The track blew a lot of people away and for many this album was their first taste of the band. Yet again the band had upped their game following on from the awesome Breaker. Possibly their best album, you really should hear this.

From: Nick C Date: June 13, 2006 at 21:21
* Actually a quick note with regards the first taste of the band comment above. Accept actually supported Priest in the UK on the British Steel tour (I think it was BS), in support of the Breaker album but went largely unnoticed. So if anyone was at JP's 1st of 2 nights at Manchester Apollo that tour and can remember a guy stood on his chair going nuts when JP's support act was on and getting pulled off the chair by a bouncer..then it was me haha! Udo didn't even have his battle fatigues yet!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 1, 2006 at 19:42
'Fast as a shark' should be named a 'Hymn' of heavy metal!!!!!!!!!

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 30, 2006 at 18:18
Ahh, now that's more like it!!! This is the Accept I know and love. Brilliant yet overlooked piece in the Accept catalog. This one is a teaser of what is to come on 'Balls To The Wall' and 'Metal Heart', but I think this one is better than 'Balls'. This one is very consistant overall and plays well from start to finish, where 'Balls' is a hit and miss affair. 'Fast As A Shark', 'Restless And Wild', and 'Flash Rockin' Man' are just top notch. Very recomended stuff!!!

From: Fat Freddy Date: February 9, 2007 at 17:16
'Hi-dee-Hi-doh-Hi-dah!' Says it all really. Accept were at the top of their game on this classic, and it still sounds great (especially at ear splitting volume) today!! This and BALLS TO THE WALL are my two favorite Accept discs, absolutely essential stuff!

From: Madd Mortigan Date: August 31, 2009 at 21:23
Good ol' classic metal. Personally I wouldn't compare it to Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood or KISS Destroyer. More like Priest if you ask me. It's all good just the same. Anyway, bang your head!

From: fcmahlzeit Date: September 6, 2009 at 8:25
Brilliant album. Will be my favourite Accept album forever. Just listen to "Princess of the Dawn" and you know why. Accept at their best and as Madd said: Bang your head!!!!!!!!

From: Faron Date: September 24, 2009 at 11:09
Excellent follow up to the classic Breaker album. Fast As A Shark is a stunning opening song, heavy as hell. Like all the songs on this, not sure which one is my favourite, probably Princess of The Dawn.

From: aorluver Date: January 20, 2010 at 12:11
nookiexx I see you really fancy kicking accept by giving their albums 1 out of 100 but it's not funny and just They may not be the best metal band around but certainly deserve more respect than you'd evet think. Listen their , say "Metal Heart" or "Balls" again but this time without hatred and prejudice and you will see what I meean. Regards

From: Richard Head Date: September 18, 2011 at 10:33
Every collector needs this in their collection..

From: hair metal again Date: July 4, 2012 at 3:31
excellent european metal release back in 83 and surely a classic!every tune in it still sounds fresh and full of high energy!all the songs are anthemic and this was the release that set ACCEPT one of the greatest!highly recommended !

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 13, 2016 at 19:10
Classic release from one of Germany's finest metal acts ever ..."Fast As A Shark" should be named as a total hymn in Heavy Metal music(as i wrote in here way back in 2006)...tracks 2,4,7,8 & 10 are also kinda killer ones...recommended...80/100
