THIS ONE LEANS TO THE DARK SIDE OF MUSIC WHICH WE ALL HAVE INSIDE. STRICTLY FOR THE STONER IN MY OPINION. I,M DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS RELEASE. JEFF SCOTT SOTO MUST HAVE LOST HIS MIND ON THIS ONE. I HOPE THE NEXT RELEASE GETS BACK TO WHAT WERE ALL USED TO.

I am a Jeff Scott Soto fan, I have always enjoyed his releases in the past, but I have seriously struggled with his solo-band efforts here lately. "Inside the Vertigo" was a heavy-modern-metal album, which I tried to embrace - but just couldn't. So i gave "Divak" a chance as well, and its another seriously dark-groove metal-laden and an industrial vibe to it album. Someone seriously needs to be depressed as hell and in a dark mental place to enjoy this album...this is darker than some of the more darker metal albums of Priest, Maiden and Sabbath. Which is turn off IMO. But for what it is - its a decent album. Soto is recording a 3rd release which I suspect will be the same formula as these two previous releases. HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: #4, 7, 10. MY RATING: 45/100.

excellent album for S.O.T.O. indeed and somehow a big surprise for me as the previous one was just ok!What we have here is a solid moder hard rock sound ,dark but commercial at the same time ,fantastic musicianship&performance and really really fine songwriting! All the songs are remarkable and to me this one is among the best of the recent years when we talk for new sounds and approach!if you like it oldschool then there nothing for you here
