BRONX were a Cleveland-based HM/HR band that formed in 1986 and released this lone EP on cassette in 1990 while building a relatively large local following between their many live shows with drummer Chris Ceja giving drum lessons at "The Rock Shop" in Cleveland. The biographical history is a bit sketchy although there were at least 2 other members involved with the band before the EP was recorded: Tom Schlund on drums & Kurt Tischer on guitars). Their style here was Melodic with Hair Metal tendencies and along the lines of a blander version of LION, PRETTY MAIDS, RANKELSON, LORRAINE, & MISTREATED. Vocalist Jeff Bodeen had a deeper delivery that worked well with the music, but the band would eventually slit up in the early 90's. Ex-drummer Tom Schlund joined HAMMERED, a Cleveland-based cover band, alongside vocalist Andy Boyer (S.O.S., HAMMERED, HOLLOW, ex-PURGATORY, ex-BATTERY, ex-REBELLIOUS ANGEL, ex-ANDERSON COUNCIL, ex-VIOLET WIND)and both "Tiny" & Jeff would later form a....

Country band named BRONX COUNTRY although BRONX had resurfaced more recently in both 2012/14' to play some live shows (it's unclear if they're still active in 2016). Pat Baker would later join LORRAINE and would appear on their "Boys Nite Out!" release from 1993 although it's unclear what he's up to nowadays. BRONX had the potential to make some noise, as some of the songs on this EP had potential. But the inclusion of two Rap versions of the song "Bronx Rap" was both trendy & completely unnecessary, taking major points away from an otherwise fairly solid recording.
