| Russell Allen, frontman of the progressive metal band Symphony X finds the melodic-metal sweet-spot on "Chapter 1" and steals the show with his powerful vocals. Allen really shines on the ballad "All Hope Is Gone" with a excellent acoustic version on the import disc. This album is produced by bass player Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR/SINNER) with beefy/booming production and nice instrumental/orchestra touches, along with guest vocals by Magnus Karlsson (Starbreaker), Carsten “lizard” Schulz and female voice Amanda Somerville (AVANTASIA).
