This a a fantastic cd. Laid back in places, hard rocking in others, a range of styles of songs, but fantastic melodies throughout. Strangely, Cold Surprise and Running to Stand Still share the same melody line, but in completely different ways. Best songs, Sailor's Song, Watershed, and Running to Stand Still. Hell, if you can get it for less than $2 on Ebay, you wont be disappointed. A corker.

weren't some members of southgang in this band?

From: koogles Date: December 12, 2002 at 4:04
Wasn't John Payne (later in Asia) in this band?

From: Sandi Glam Date: December 18, 2002 at 5:17
No, Southgang was known Byte the Bullet before they got signed, but that was a totally different band than this one...

From: AORMASTER Date: April 1, 2003 at 6:41
THIS IS A FANTASTIC SLICE OF AOR. Very Highly recommended. Asia's John Payne guests on backing vocals on this disc.

Nice late 80's opppy aor album. At the moment a little bit overrated.

From: Rockhead Date: March 25, 2004 at 7:57
Sorry-I thought this Cd sucked from beinning to end with little to inspire future listens. I recently traded it with a japanese fan and glad I did as it would never got airplay in my house.

Forgot how good this one was - had the vinyl & managed to get a copy on ebay for about a fiver - money well spent. As mentioned above typical late 80's Lite Aor well played, well produced and a good allround disc.

this one is great !!!!!! Actually in some places it reminds me a little of early FM, melodic and nice..To those of you who haven`t got it yet, you have to buy this one.

From: ROBERT Date: July 11, 2006 at 11:23
EDGE OF THE RAIN - Bonito Medio Tiempo FINISHED WITH LOVE - Buena calidad d teclados... COLD SURPRISE - podria haber es

From: ROBERT Date: July 11, 2006 at 11:23
COLD SURPRISE - podria haber estado en el 1š d Dare trankilament. RUNNING TO STAND STILL - Maraviyosa, d mis favoritas BIG MOUNTAIN - HI-Tech Total! SAILOR'S SONG - Normalita WATERSHED - Aki manda el saxo... En definitiva un Buen Album del 89' d AOR yeno d Melodia y Buen Hacer! 6'5 d 10!

Awesome light AOR,full with great melodies,itīs a mix of different styles but with excellent good taste;Cold surprise and Running to stand still are a wet dream for any melodic rock lover, others highlights are Change of heart,Finished with love,Playing at love and the final Watershed, highly recommended with the eyes closed,if you want AOR at itīs finest go for it,9/10.

From: juan carlos Date: January 29, 2009 at 22:57
"Running to Stand Still" What a fine song! AOR Heaven at itīs best! itīs my favorite song of course! but obviously there are other fantastic tracks here.. You are right lalo, itīs a mix of different styles: Pop, Lite and AOR with plenty of keys. "Faith Healing" "Dark Age" are fillers. 8.8/10

From: aor4sale Date: August 21, 2009 at 9:19
Very good Pop-infused Hi-Tech AOR from this Brit band who only gave us the one offering. A real shame they never did anything else. Certainly one of those releases begging for a re-issue...

From: rick kerch vzla Date: October 30, 2010 at 19:52
This is a very fine release indeed..labeled as Pop/AOR and definetely an album to bear in mind..."Change of Heart",well what can i tell you about this opening track..being honest with you all,i found out about this track not a long ago while trading a german AOR cd compilation with a friend and this one was in it...well,it blew my mind right away and has become one of the most fantastic AOR tracks i've ever heard in my life!(and that's a lot 2 say)...the rest of the album has very interesting songs such as "Finished With Love" nice,"Edge Of The Rain" catchy,"Faith Healing" excellent,"Dark Age" mellow with a nice chorus,"Playing At Love" beautiful,a highlight,"Big Mountain" rocking one & "Watershed" ends decently the story...get this one a.s.a.p.!.92/100
