This a a fantastic cd. Laid back in places, hard rocking in others, a range of styles of songs, but fantastic melodies throughout. Strangely, Cold Surprise and Running to Stand Still share the same melody line, but in completely different ways. Best songs, Sailor's Song, Watershed, and Running to Stand Still. Hell, if you can get it for less than $2 on Ebay, you wont be disappointed. A corker.

No, Southgang was known Byte the Bullet before they got signed, but that was a totally different band than this one...

Forgot how good this one was - had the vinyl & managed to get a copy on ebay for about a fiver - money well spent. As mentioned above typical late 80's Lite Aor well played, well produced and a good allround disc.

EDGE OF THE RAIN - Bonito Medio Tiempo FINISHED WITH LOVE - Buena calidad d teclados... COLD SURPRISE - podria haber es

"Running to Stand Still" What a fine song! AOR Heaven at itīs best! itīs my favorite song of course! but obviously there are other fantastic tracks here.. You are right lalo, itīs a mix of different styles: Pop, Lite and AOR with plenty of keys. "Faith Healing" "Dark Age" are fillers. 8.8/10

Very good Pop-infused Hi-Tech AOR from this Brit band who only gave us the one offering. A real shame they never did anything else. Certainly one of those releases begging for a re-issue...

This is a very fine release indeed..labeled as Pop/AOR and definetely an album to bear in mind..."Change of Heart",well what can i tell you about this opening track..being honest with you all,i found out about this track not a long ago while trading a german AOR cd compilation with a friend and this one was in it...well,it blew my mind right away and has become one of the most fantastic AOR tracks i've ever heard in my life!(and that's a lot 2 say)...the rest of the album has very interesting songs such as "Finished With Love" nice,"Edge Of The Rain" catchy,"Faith Healing" excellent,"Dark Age" mellow with a nice chorus,"Playing At Love" beautiful,a highlight,"Big Mountain" rocking one & "Watershed" ends decently the story...get this one a.s.a.p.!.92/100

Indeed, this is a nice surprise! Especially the first half of the cd is splendid, tracks 1-4 and 6 are very, very good. After that, the quality drops a bit, but the songs are still enjoyable enough.

Hi Tech with some Westcoast too, great Midtempo tune with Edge Of The Rain. Cold Surprise sounds surprisingly modern melodically wise. Album ends up being forgettable, although Watershed is a nice ending track. Rating: 7/10. Favorite Track: Edge Of The Rain.

Gotta say this album is a bit hit and miss. First 3 songs are awesome and from there on in its all a bit patchy, with some songs almost sounding as though they belonged to another band, style-wise. But still that 3 song trilogy is worth the price!
