I can't believe someone else has heard of these guys! They are one of my favorite bands! I am 25 years old and the only other person I know who likes Bricklin is my friend Rick who I haven't seen in over a year. I love Bricklin and if anyone knows where to find "Alice Dreaming" or "Killer Brix" on CD, please e-mail me at awk_slammer@hotmail.com Thanks! Chandra

Dickless AOR.

From: Selfish@tlen.pl Date: May 24, 2003 at 19:22
First i have to say to mr. koogles that, i'm not judgin' his knowledge about AOR music, but dickless Aor, doesn't suite me at all. This i very good sounding, a little bit poppy, westoast lite AOR, with more keyboards works, nice choruses and well producted album. There's no harder songs on it, for me it souds great, a i'm sure that for westocoast AOR lovers it will do the same. I ranked it at 8.5/10, in west coast category it would be 9/10. Check out track #10 etc. GRAB IT

saw these guys in the early 80's when they tries the Duran Duran look...LOL $23.20 ??? puh-leeze!!!!

From: LMC080160 Date: August 11, 2003 at 13:07
I went to school with 3 of the guys and liked them then - still like them now. They've aged well too! And to Lil Al - Just how'd you get the nickname? Keep doing what you love, you have to love what you're doing or nothing else matters.

If you like your rock music on the softer side, with the occasional flex of muscle, then Bricklin might just be up your alley. Formed around the brothers Scott and Brian, the Bricklin team manage to come up with an appealing album of songs that skirt round the fringes of bands like Agent, Life By Night, The City, and Mr Mister. Lots of hi-tech arrangements, keyboards and percussive elements too.

Great band and Martin's Dam as well. Very rare on CD.

Purchase the Bricklin CD MP3s legally at www.itsaboutmusic.com - Look for the artist Scott Bricklin (they also have a best of Martin's Dam CD) also check with Philly Records (anditgoes@comcast.net) to see if they still have any Bricklin rarities - I purchased a '87-'89 DEMO CD from them...

Watched these guys back in my U of DE days. Saw them all around philly too. One of my favorite bands ever.

From: Geoff Date: January 20, 2005 at 2:37
To me this is far more pop than even AOR, or melodic rock... and to be honest i don't really like it at all, but 'She's not my girl' is a beautiful AOR track. Very nice song.

From: Swriter Date: February 20, 2005 at 23:10
more in the 80's new wave/rock/pop genre, good lighter music, nothing fantastic, but a good 80's pop release, not sure why it is considered aor???

From: 9 Champions Date: March 9, 2005 at 4:59
Estoy muy liado con la debacle del Madrid. Lo siento, chaval...

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: March 9, 2005 at 11:23

From: PARA 9 CHAMPS Date: March 24, 2005 at 19:21
he leido tu mensaje , GRACIAS COLEGA!!!,quiero saber si conoces a un grupo sureño/aor llamado OUTLAWS, ellos tienen un disco recien reeditado llamado soldiers of fortune de 1986, SERA BUEN DISCO? espero tu opinion.SALUDOS DESDE CIUDAD DE MEXICO!!!Bernardo Casarin

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: March 25, 2005 at 7:48

Gutes, poppiges AOR Album. Leider ohne den Hit "Walk away" aus dem Film "Bill & Teds excellent Adventure". Sehr rar und meist nur sehr teuer zu finden. Max. 7.5/10 Punkten.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: May 24, 2010 at 20:21
Very Poppy and commercial but a very pleasent one..a band that could easily reminded me of Glass Tiger and Toto (Isolation & Fahrenheit era)..."Fear Of Life" kicks catchily,"For Her Love" is very good,"Even When You Are Done With Me" has a very nice beat pattern, really liked it,"All I Know" is pop at its best,"Love Without Pain" is a highlight,"She's Not My Girl" is a fave,"The Sleeping Dream" is cool and the especial edition brings a bonus track "Walk Away" which is excellent and was part of the soundtrack of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adveture..really enjoyable album.91/100

From: BDrums1971 Date: September 6, 2010 at 3:06
Not sure about the Toto Isolation comparison. This is very keyboard/sequencer oriented pop. I wouldn't call it westcoast at all. Maybe AOR, but definately pop. As I listen to it, you gotta appreciate all the work that went into the arrangement, what with all the keys, and sound effects, and sequenced parts. Not easy to do, I can assure you. Kinda reminds me of Lava or a little Level 42 here and there or maybe even Pet Shop Boys. Very 80's pop, dancey feeling, but very well done!

From: yamaha94 Date: October 26, 2012 at 21:33
I would not consider this lite AOR, this is more hi-tech AOR. EXCELLENT ALBUM from start to finish. She's not my girl, the sleepless dream, how come I are staple tracks. Buy and enjoy this one. Its a under-rated gem.

From: 123charpenay Date: December 28, 2018 at 12:47
decent soft aor, limit pop easy to listen but not more.nothing extraordinary.

From: gfranciscop Date: July 18, 2021 at 14:42
Reminds me of Rick Springfield and similar artists: less sophisticated Hi Tech AOR. Some Stadium Rock and New Wave hints here too. For Her Love is a pretty nice tune. Funky Pop feeling in All I Know. She's Not My Girl is pretty good too. The Sleeping Dream is another nice driving Mid Tempo tune. Pretty nice album, maybe missing a huge ballad to top it off. Maybe I could give it another spin. Rating: 8/10. Favorite Track: She's Not My Girl.
