Really good album. I was suprised , at times Adrian has a Bob Seger sound in his vocals. Almost like Bob Seger singing for Bon Jovi or Van Halen

A really good album that surprised many people as it was not really Iron Maidenish. Good songs and good musicianship. Standout tracks are 2,3,6,8 & 9.

Back to ASAP... This was nowhere near as heavy as I expected it to be. This is pretty typical 80s AOR music. Not too exciting, but not bad either. Adrian Smith does have a good voice. Great booklet, by the way!

Add me to the folks that were surprised. I remember buying this new way back when. The opening track 'The Lion' as well as many of the other songs are classic! Good going Adrian!

This is a really surprising melodic rock album. Not what you would expect from ex-Maiden. Good songs, hooks, vocals and production make this a really solid effort. 7/10

Yeah boys this is a Good AOR album, si un Buen album de AOR y de Rock Melodico claro por momentos algo rockerillos pero con clase, pensar que Adrian Smith estuvo en la banda mas grande y legendaria de Heavy Metal de todos los tiempos para mi(Iron Maiden claro a la par con los Judas), y como no revoluciono ese sonido en la guitarra en el Somewhere in time del 86 pero esa es otra historia, este mundo es del AOR y el album tiene buenos cortes como

Got this on tape for a $1.00..don't go lookin for any Maiden here cause it ain't there...it is however very good...Mr.Smith has a very bluesy voice..the songs have a nice vibe to them....It would be nice to have on C.D.

This one bored quite a bit. I knew going in it would be nothing like Adrian's past, but it could have rocked a little more. The title track is pretty good, but I have heard bluesy aor done much better.

This is a good solid melodic hard rock disc. There are a few fillers, quite a few winners too though. Very good melodic sound. I heard the title track years ago on a Hard N'Heavy video and loved it then. It's probably still my fave, but some good solid tracks here. Good album.

Defo agree with the above comments good but not great, 3 and 8 prob the worst for me otherwise its good AOR. They sound a little like Heartland at time's and I love the solo's on most of the songs got that No Retreat No Surrender soundtrack vibe. If anyone can point me to bands that sound like the way the solo's are it would be most appreicated...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

A very good AOR-driving album: it could have been better with a true singer.

I was really surprised by this album. Is a good one indeed!!!.The songs are a mixture of UFO "Ain't Misbehavin'",Fastway's "On Target"(but less poppy)& perhaps URIAH HEEP's "Different Worlds" and "Raging Silence".This was a solo project when Adrian was "Maiden off" and they only recorded this album. After that came The Untouchables and of course Psycho Motel (with little or almost any recognition at all). The starter "The Lion" (powerful)"Silver & Gold","Fallen Heroes (the best-4 me at least-)and a wonderful ballad to close the album "Blood On The Ocean".

Definetely a good "experiment" that shamely only recorded this one. This album is not orientated to Iron Maiden fans (is not Heavy Metal).Anyway is you see it,grab it...have a little bit of Rock History!!!.90/100

Ace album from this British one-off project. Adrian Smith went on to the outfit Psycho Motel. Heavier but real good stuff. Well worth checkin' out...

Not the best I've heard but still worth keeping. Several decent tracks but my favorite "The Lion".

Adrian Smith prepared a little surprise for fans of hard aor rock bands from the British Isles like No Sweat, Heartland, Strangeways etc. Nice hooks, good dialogue between the guitars and keyboards, a bit weaker vocal but skillfully mixed in the record make this album interesting and worthy of attention. 80/100.

Great performance by Adrian, both nice guitars and vocals, strong melodic songs, certainly not Maiden songs, but more leaning on AOR and building atmosphere. Singles "Silver and Gold" and "Down the Wire" are great songs, and it does not really matter that the album was not a sales success. It's still a very cool departure from Adrian being brave and trying something different. It's not a total classic, but certainly not a failure. I listen to it every now and then, I like it better than most Dickinson solo albums. A pretty solid album well worth getting if you like melodic rock and don't expect Iron Maiden. Lastly, I very much prefer this album to No Prayer for the Dying. 3 first songs stand out a little, but all ten songs are good. Cool fact: in 1991, shortly after Adrian left the No Prayer for the Dying sessions, he did in fact (he has also confirmed that it's true) audition to join Def Leppard. So he sure can play more than metal, a good thing. Great dude! Smith/Kotzen also solid!
