David A Saylor is back. With his 4th solo release in 3 years (and this one has been delayed too) Mr Saylor certainly doesn't hang about when writing and releasing new material. The thing about a David Saylor release is you can almost guarantee it will contain quality songs, and this one is certainly no different. The slightly different thing about this one is it definately more rocking. The title song is a really cool and rocking AOR number with a cracking chorus and great vocals to boot. If you want a really great chorus look no further. The ballad 'The time is now' once again features a great vocal and harmonies galore. 'Way Down The Line' has an FM feel which is no bad thing and is another song that moves along at a brisk pace. 'No Fear' is a stunning AOR rocker featuring heavily on driving keyboards and a chugging guitar riff and really cool harmonies once more. Isn't this how AOR should sound? |

Semi ballad 'This Is It' is next up with it's classic sounding keys and power chorus and superb guitar work courtesy of David Mark Pearce. 'Alibi' is another absolute killer AOR rocker and proves that Saylor really is one of the finest singers in the genre. The guy can sing any kind of tune (check his covers on YouTube for further proof) and has a tone that most singers would dearly love to have. Once again the keyboards are flowing and the backing vocals are to die for. Everything an AOR fan would want in a number. Once again ex Push UK band mates have been on hand with Built 2 Fight and the production is the best yet of all of his 4 solo outings. Again, this cd is strictly limited to 500 copies so you need to be quick. What i will say is that David Saylor should be a name that every melodic rock/AOR fan should be very aware of and if you have'nt heard any of his cd's i suggest you track them down (all of them) and most definately this newbie. You absolutely can not go wrong. Buy Buy. |
