Finally have this one here! Is it worth $305?

From: TIM Date: August 9, 2003 at 22:46
Looked at the past auctions on Ebay and this has gone down in price considerably. Are fakes being distruted or has this been reissued? Been awhile since I checked on this one.

From: TIM Date: August 10, 2003 at 1:00
Make that 'distributed.'

From: robert Date: August 21, 2003 at 15:51
no esta nada mal, sobre todo esa version del PERFECT WORLD, este tio tiene una voz brutal!!¿me recomendais otro disco suyo tan bueno como el EDGE OF A CENTURY d STYX?

From: TIM Date: August 28, 2003 at 14:28
Man, I was really surprised on this one. Very pleasant AOR. Recommended!

From: vandervelde Date: October 14, 2003 at 14:04
this is unbelieveble cd.....really this guy knows how to write a good song....i don't even try to choose best tracks.....simply impossible...for me strong 10/10

From: Bill Date: October 17, 2003 at 14:09
AWESOME!!! a classic album, worth every penny (if you can find it.....)

From: Paolo Date: January 24, 2004 at 21:16
Is this a joke? $24.25 for this ultrarare jewel?!! I can't believe it. This is one of the most sought after japanese aor cd's of all time....i saw and see it on every wantlist, and it's a deserved status: one of the best examples of north american aor of mid 80's. Buy it if you can find it, no matter which is the price!!!!

An eBay user known as bpm_music was selling CD-Rs of this CD....he is no longer a registered user! His/her auctions are what drove the price down for this cd.

From: TIM Date: January 24, 2004 at 22:09
Yeah, I noticed that here recently. I'll erase them. That happened on Sweet Teaze at one time as well. Thanks.

From: Mr M Date: May 4, 2004 at 19:31
Quality...but the second album is the killer.

From: Axe Machine Date: May 13, 2004 at 8:57
Rare as hens teeth on CD, but an absolutely indispensable album from the man who brought us Styx's superb Edge of the Century CD. Tracks like Perfect World, Hold Back The Night and Crank It Up are all AOR Classics. A must have.

From: AOR freaky Date: May 13, 2004 at 10:16
Good but not classic album. But be warned for his upcoming album on Atenzia (soon to be released). You won't recognize his sound : he plays now alternative/nu-breed stuff ! A complete change of style and very, very bad ! This is good, but the Glen Burtnick from now is CRAP and has nothing in common with his previous work or with Styx ! BE WARNED !

From: TIM (2) Date: May 28, 2004 at 5:01
I can't believe how much this is now worth! Is good, "Heroes..." is the better CD though. Agree with AOR Freaky as his new CD is absolutely terrible and a million miles away from this in terms of sound and style.

OTRO BUEN ALBUM. A CONSEGUIRLO. ESTE Y SU PRIMER ALBUM SON BUENOS.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 10, 2004 at 3:40

From: Geoff Date: January 20, 2005 at 2:41
'Perfect world' is a sensational song, and I guess the rest of it is a good album, but $305 dollars! I'd sooner turn up to the bowling alley, discover they're out of bowling balls, cut open my ballsack and use my testicles to knock down those ten pins!!! F*ck me, it's a pretty good CD but there are thousands out there just as good or a lot better for much cheaper! Stick with those...

From: Wachen Date: March 31, 2005 at 13:14
My god, this one is excellent!!! Burtnick is a great singer and here he proves he is a top notch songwriter! Just listen to "Crank it up" and "Brave hearts". It's amazing that Burtnick and Tommy Shaw both played in Styx but their best efforts is their solo albums...this one and "Ambition" by Shaw blows away "Kilroy was here" or any other Styx record. If you find it BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY!!!

From: z4roxx Date: April 1, 2005 at 8:47
I cannot spend my salary of a month to buy this cd ahahahahaha! It will be great but it's for people full of money!

From: Swriter Date: April 1, 2005 at 14:31
pulled this vinyl out today, man, not sure which one I like better, this or Hero??? I think they r both fantastic. Hole in my Pocket, Crank it, Perfect World, Talk that Talk, Hold back, Heart on the line!!!!!! great aor/melodic rock, just fantastic. Wonder why Glen does not reissue these?????

From: Nick C Date: April 18, 2005 at 17:30
How much!!!! Cripes I passed on this CD in a shop in Manchester for £5 in a sale about 9 years ago (The shop was Yanks/Powercuts anyone from Manchester remember it?). Doh!

From: rocketron Date: April 19, 2005 at 6:43
Nick C - Power Cuts is sadly missed here in Manchester. I have to make do with a CDR of this great album.

From: Nick C Date: April 19, 2005 at 12:46
Rocketron ... Remember they used to have great sales you could go with about £30 and come back with about 50 albums/CD's haha! Sadly missed shop indeed! Passing on this CD resulted in me passing on all his work I'm afraid, I dunno why I never bought any of his stuff as what I have heard I have quite enjoyed!

From: Swriter Date: April 19, 2005 at 15:57
another great album with Dan Huff!!!!!!!!!! man, wonder how many other albums he played on we do not know about????

From: swriter Date: July 22, 2005 at 15:36
so when will the Glen cds be re-released for all to have????

From: AORMusic.com Date: October 1, 2005 at 9:10
Just a friendley warning. An eBay user known as bpm_music was selling CD-Rs of this CD and now he's back with a new username aldrinand. He has allredy sold a couple of Bootlegs on the TIC CD. His/her auctions are the reason that the the price is dropping down for this CD again.

From: swissmelodic Date: February 9, 2007 at 8:05
Absolut geiler AOR. Ein Juwel das längst wieder aufgelegt werden sollte! Wer Workforce, Stan Bush, oder Alias - ähnlichen AOR liebt der kann blindlings zugreifen trotz der Horrorpreise!

From: juan carlos Date: April 25, 2007 at 0:23

From: Harald Date: November 16, 2008 at 10:35
This has just been reissued through NL Distribution in Germany, licened from the original A&M record label, only 1000 copies, so hurry up.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: July 12, 2010 at 19:50
Really enjoyable album!..for me is like Mr Mister's "Go On" album but edgier...the party starts with a very cool track and a highlight "Crank It Up","Little Red House" is a fave and a highlight too along with "Perfect World" which i really liked then comes "Hole In My Pocket" & "Brave Heart" both very catchy tunes,"Heart On The Line" is a nice song and "We're Alright" closes the album fantastically!...you won't waste your money or time listening to this great release!...recommendable!.88/100.

From: pompster80 Date: July 13, 2012 at 8:46
I agree with Geoff (Jan 20, 2005). I have got both the vinyl and the Japanese CD. It is an excellent release of course, but isn't it more the fear of not getting an album than the quality of the music itself that makes people pay horribly high prices and therefore create a black market? - Nevertheless a highly recommended, atmospheric opus by Mr. Burtnick. So "Hey Stoopid" if you want to make me a millionaire.... :-).
