Okay..I'll do the first comment.....Axe was a great band...and the song "Rock and roll party in the street's is an underated rock and roll anthem....Probably not many remember the song , but It should be worth a listen to any rock fan and I wish I had added it to my collection..Awesome song..

Axe is one of the best Hardrock bands ever. All their albums are great, only the latest "The crown" is a bit weak. Offering in my opinion is the best album, check out "Burn the City down" itīs a killer!!! I saw them live last year, they rule.

"Offering" is the best place to start if you're new to this amazing Florida band. From the Journey-like AOR of "Now or Never" to haunting tracks like "Steal Another Fantasy" and "Silent Soldiers", this is a start-to-end winner. "Rock and Roll Party in the Streets" is what Bon Jovi would have sounded like in 1982. I love this CD. It captures the early 80s hard rock sound and feel to a tee. BRILLIANT!

Actually koogles, when I heard Rock-n-roll Party in the streets for the first time, I thought it was Bon Jovi. I heard it around the same time as the 7800 Ferenheit album came out. I kept taking my cassette and looking for the hidden track that some bands put 30 seconds after the last song on the tape. I was pissed that I couldn't find it and called the music store and they told me who it actually was. Hey...I was 14 and the internet was unheard of at that time!

"Offering" is almost a perfect album. The songs range from AOR to classic metal. Axe were a very under-appreciated band. Check out "Jennifer".

KILLER album. For '82 this has some heavy duty production too.

Hi group. Just want to share some good experience with you. I have with success found some cool stuff on the German version of Ebay. Usually the cd`s there are only listed in Germany, and that limits the visits on the auctions. I recently bought DAD-Live In Osaka for 34 EUR-32 Usd. Thats usually sold on Ebay for 60,- USD. Lots of cool stuff beeing sold there. Try AXE. Black`n Blue 1 st is on sale at a good price too.

This is a really good album. And R&R Party In The Street, WOW, what a great song! Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging the whole album on just that one song, pretty much all the songs on this one are good. But R&R Party.. is what a "rock anthem" should sound like! This is a terrific group. If you haven't yet, check out AXE 5 also, it is a good one!

As mentioned with the 'Nemesis' cd, this has just been Re-issued by the Excellent Wounded Bird label, but without the live bonus tracks.Again soundwise no different to the Axepertise editions, so if you have those, you'll be fine without forking out more for this.

Though the music is still melodic rock primed for 80's AOR format radio, there's a bit more sting in the tail. "Less pomp and more guitar" as an old review of 'Offering' mentioned back in 1982.

Classic with a capital C. No album better than this from 1982. Stellar rock from THE band of the early 80's. Enough said.

Third excellent release and probably their best known one. A slightly heavier album than the Pomp of the first 2. This features an excellent cover of the Montrose classic 'I Got The Fire' aswell as the brilliant 'Silent Soldiers' (later covered by C.I.T.A on their impressive debut cd Relapse Of Reason - along with Steal Another Fantasy also featured on Offering).

Rock and roll oarty in the streets totally wiped me out! What an original tune, speaking of what was going on at the time. This one was a great disc! Find one and burn it out, as quick as you can.

I may get kicked in the mouth for this, but it is a comment board. Rock n roll party in the street for some reason hits me wrong.Always has.As far as on the cheesy scale,it is just behind achy breaky heart.

No worries, like you said, it's a comment board and that's a valid comment. I actually agree with you, except I happen to like cheese! Plus I saw them on this tour opening for Cheap Trick, my first "real" rock concert so it's a got a bunch of nostalgia for me as well.

I can barely describe to you just how blown away I was the first time I played this on cassette back in the day. I had my headphones on and was supposed be reading for a book report. YEAH RIGHT! I was off from the intro piano and guitar riff of "Rock N Roll Party In The Streets". The thing is, the damn thing never let up! Song after song..."Steal Another Fantasy", "Jennifer", and "Now Or Never". All killer melodic rock! Always takes me back...In a very good way!!!

Very good album!!!...Hard Rock & AOR songs is what you will find in here ...for me the band sounds heavily influenced by UFO(the band) when playing their rocky tunes("I Got The Fire" & "Burn The City Down")...excellent tracks for me are "Rock 'N' Roll Party In The Streets","Steal Another Fantasy","Jennifer" & "Now Or Never"(nice AOR)...i have this on vinyl so i cannot say about the live bonus tracks but surely they are fine too...91/100
