A huge star in the late 60's, this was Tommy's first disc in 10 years and is superb Hi-tech
AOR/Westcoast ala John Parr, Richard Marx, Greg Guidry, David Roberts and Go West.

Famous for singing with The Shondells back in the 60's, this is Tommy James one and only Westcoast/AOR release and very damned good it is too. If you like the aforemnetioned John Parr, Richard Marx, the excellent David Roberts and the hi-tech Go West sound, then this will be right up your street. Of the 9 songs on offer, 7 definitely hit the mark and are a good mixture of ballads - the excellent 'Ordinary Girl', to more uptempo 'Go' and the very tasty Westcoast pairing of 'You Take My Breath Away' & 'What Kind Of Love'. It's a shame this was released on a small label and didn't get the recognition, as this has everything it's big label counterparts (Parr, Marx, Roberts etc) had and then some.

Very Good AOR, "Burnin' for You, You Take My Breath Away, What Kind of Love Do You Want, Love You Too Much & Backtrack" best tracks IMO, Great comment Jez! if you like Richard Marx, Go West, David Roberts then... 85/100.
