Quality abounds here from start to end. 'Surrender' is indeed a plaintive statement right from the outset, declaring to the listener that they do indeed surrender their ears and attention to the remainder of the album. 'Second Chance' and 'Don't Run Away' are superb examples of classy AOR, and not too far off the mark are 'Don't You Worry' and 'Morningstar'. |

I love the Allies. I was heart broken when they broke up! I grew up listening to them. This was my favorite allies album. |

Indeed great christian AOR, and sometimes a little bit pomp mixed in between. One of the best christian releases (with stuff from Twenty Twenty, Petra, Idle Cure, White Heart and of course the Elefante brothers). |

Nice sounding 80's CCM AOR; some Soul influences here and there in the vocals and even a touch of The Police in Don't Keep Him Waiting. Some Jazzy touches in I'll Be Your Brother as well. For some reason the Spotify version of I'll Be Your Brother stops all of a sudden, who knows why. I think it's not a bad album but not a winner either, it takes more than one listen for it to grow into you. Rating: 7/10. Favorite Track: Hardened Hearts. |
