Most of the previous Alessi Bros. stuff has been way to sweet and sickly even for my tastes, but this one at least injected a much need punch into some of their songs. It is still ultra light Westcoast stuff, but there are some real beauties on here. Opener 'Jagged Edge' the following 'You Got The Way', 'Put Away Your Love' and 'Rise Up' are the picks of the bunch on here, but in general the quality is pretty high throughout, which you would expect looking at the list of impecable musicians that are littered throughout this album. Steve Lukather, Christopher Cross, Michael Omartian, Jeff Porcaro, Neil Stubenhaus and Larry Carlton - a westcaost fans wet dream of a lineup. Nice album and a neat addition to any Westcoast collection. |

Very Good SoftAOR indeed! Great Backing vocals courtesy by the mighty Christopher Cross on "As Far as I'm Concerned" "Rise Up" and so on.. Thanks Christopher Cross for coming to Peru(Unforgettable concert that you and America did at The Maria Angola CC). If you are a Soft/Romantic AOR lovers then this is for you and for me 9/10 |

Classic Westcoast AOR by this duo. Pretty standard Disco influenced beats in much of it, easy listening but not particularly remarkable. Solid drumming and synth work too. Still In Love sounds modern with that guitar intro. Some Bee Gees sounding harmonies here and there as well. My problem is that most of the tunes are forgettable at best. Nice ending with the last song though. Some highlights: As Far As I'm Concerned, Still In Love. Rating: 7/10. Favorite Track: Long Time Friends. |
