ONE OF THE BEST ALBUM THIS YEAR!!! 9.5/10

Very Good Melodic Rock with a fresh and modern Sound. "What Can I Do" is a bit similar to Evanescence in style, "Give Me a Sign" reminded me a bit of "Iris"(Goo Goo Dolls song) but my favorite song is "River of Love". "I'm Alive" is the first single(Good song!), "Unbelievable" is a good modern ballad, "How Will I Know" is my 2nd favorite song. It's not one of the best album of this year IMO but is really good, instead listen to WHITE WIDDOW: The Best album of this year! 8.8/10

80's Hard Rock? To me it's a little too modern for 80's. This is a modern grungy poppy symphonic rock with all the millions of times before heard "I miss you" "I love you" "I need you" "I want you" lyrics. Don't get me wrong, it's a good piece of music, this girls has a very good voice and is defenitely no waste of money. But I miss the surprise, the breathtaker, the courage to do more variety. Maybe it's because I have a "for promotion only" copy and the soundquality lacks every now and then. My vav Track is "Flying High". All in all a nice first try.

A bit of a mixed bag for me this one. Starts out nicely with 'Angels Crying','I'm Alive' and 'Give Me The Sign' and then all the other songs sort of blur into each other, without really standing out in tghe hooks department. It's all very well done and I like Isabels vocals very much, but it doesn't really stand out above many many other albums of this type that have been done before. It's certainly far from bad, and as I said, has some really good moments, but not essential for me..

This is several shades lighter than my typical listening flavor--not to mention I usually loathe female vocals--but there is something quite appealing about the 80s-flavored rock hooks drizzled all over this album like tasty hot fudge on a sundae. "I'm Alive" is the first single and the song that made me check out this CD and color me brown and call me a turd if it doesn't sound like something Desmond Child would have penned back in the day. The production is as lush & lavish as Hugh Hefner's bedroom, bringing a barrelful of bombast to the table. The hooky, harmony-drenched choruses stick in your brain instantly; you will not need repeat listens to determine whether or not you like this album. Sure, I would've liked the music to be a little harder-edged...I also would have liked the booklet to contain photos of Issa in the nude...but we don't always get exactly what we want, and for what this is--a straight-forward AOR/melodic rock album--it's pretty good stuff.

Something like Shania Twain meets Evanescence. Not too bad to be "modern", but just like Bob Seger said, I rather prefer that old time R'n'R.
