Okay okay, i have to be the one again to start all this lol. Anyway, i listen to some 30 seconds of each song and not bad but i never been a TOTO fan. I will let TOTO fans do the talk. Good luck.

I'm biased as I like the lads, but this gets better and better the more I listen to it - and I thought it was excellent from the off. Melodies that initially dug deep have dug even deeper. Highlights for me are 3,4,6 & 9...but that'll change again by this time tomorrow. Seriously a fantastic release and surely one of Toto's best, if you like their sound then this is a must have and you'll find them reaching for new heights, if you don't ..well give it a spin it might surprise you.

Sigue sin convencerme este ultimo trabajo, y eso q tiene grandes temas: Simple Life, Botton of your Soul, King of the World. pero para mi humilde gusto, estos no son "mis" Toto, osea los q hicieron Obras Maestras del mas puro A.O.R. como: 4, THE SEVENTH ONE, FAHRENHEIT, ISOLATION... ETC Habra q seguir escuxandolo...

Wow,what a poor start to an album. 2 proggy -fairly aimless- tracks kick this off, with especially the title track sounding like an unfinished demo track. Thankfully things improve. "Bottom of Your Soul" is killer, love the instrumental duel between acoustic guitar & piano. "Simple Life" is another big highlight, but is cut off in it's prime at 2.23 mins. "Spiritual Man" is also stunning, love the harmony vocals & the soul influences. Despite being overrated by some this is very good indeed. 8.5/10.

Fantastic album Guys! I´ve only listened this once and it´s a perfect 10/10 cd right away! Can´t wait to get deeper into lyrics and melodies, because i know that it will only get better. (How can it get better if it´s already 10/10, i don´t know ) BTW, welcome to Finland! (TOTO in Helsinki march 1st)

Since the Magnificent 'Seventh One', it has been a bit of an up & downhill ride with Toto - I loved the new tracks from the 'Past To Present' Best of (yes I know Byron was on them), but thought 'Kingdom Of Desire' & 'Tambu' were somewhat patchy in places. 'Mindfields got things back on track big time, then we had the Covers album, which I still think wasn't as bad as alot made it out to be, but yes,we wanted new material right?? And finally after a 6 + year wait it is here.

'Falling In Between' just about covers all bases that the band have touched on previously, with a few new tricks aswell. The opening title track shows the band at their most Progressive & isn't the easiest way to start the album off, good though it is. 'Dying On My Feet' is also quite a challenge, but is brilliantly arranged, especially for the huge horn section in the final 2 minute . 'Bottom Of Your Soul' is prime time Toto circa 'The Seventh One' with a fine vocal from Joseph Williams.

'King Of The World' is another more commercial track featuring Paich, Lukather & Kimball all sharing vocals. 'Hooked is a pretty straightforwrd rock track with a few more Proggy elements featuring Ian Anderson on flute - good solo from Luke also. 'Simple Life' is an excellent Luke sung ballad, but way too short (was just getting into this then it ends - hit repeat x4). 'Taint Your World' is all balls out with an excellent Bobby Kimball vocal - A great live song for sure.

Initially 'Let It Go' reminds me of 'Jake To The Bone' from 'Kingdom Of Desire' especially in the rhythm section arrangement & it's loose feel, also notable for a great, soulful Greg Phillinganes vocal. 'Spiritual Man' is fabulous & my album highlight. A gospel tinged ballad featuring vocals from Paich, Phillinganes & Kimball & a massive gospel choir at the finish. 'No End In Sight' mixes the tempos between verse/chorus & again reminds me of 'The Seventh One' era & ends the album in fine style.

The Jap bonus 'The Reeferman' is basically a 2 minute studio jam session that doesn't really do alot. This is without a doubt the best Toto album since 'The Seventh One' & with time will probably be looked upon as one of the strongest albums they have ever recorded. Bobby Kimball hasn't sounded this good in years, whilst the rest of the band sound fresh & Invigorated compared to the last few albums & this comes across big time in the whole sound of the record. Album of the year? Very Probable

hmm, well, I hate to do this, but, this one has not kicked in for me yet, I do like a few tunes but overall a bit disappointed, oh well, I will keep listening!!!!

I too was a little disapointed when I first heard this CD, After all the hype and Andrew from MR scoring it 100% I was looking forward to really owning this...but after giving it the first listen I was disapointed as I expected more. The more you listen to it the more it grows on you but overall I still thought it was over rated. I would rate it more 7/10 not 10/10

Toto returning to The Seventh One sound! This is a great album! One of the highlights is Bottom Of Your Soul which features the return of Joseph Williams. Definitely worth getting.

From: Geoff Date: March 30, 2006 at 20:02
I'm not into this at all. When I look at an album line-up and I see the words flute, sax, trombone, trumpet etc… well, there’s a Geoff-sized hole in the door because I’ve run right through it, closed or not. The first 3 tracks are lessons in terror, IMO. ‘King of the world’ is a good commercial rocker and ‘Simple life’ is very nice too. The rest, IMO, are just plain awful tracks. I'm convinced that if this did not carry the Toto logo on the cover this would be panned or ignored. Sorry guys.

From: JF Date: April 27, 2006 at 19:35
Soy fan de canciones como Ana, Ill Be over you, 99,etc.

MUCHOS MEDLEYS... PERO ESO SI: "ROSSANA", "AFRICA", "PAMELA" Y "CAUGHT IN THE BALANCE" SONANDO ESPLENDIDAS, AAH Y TOCANDO 4 CANCIONES DEL "FALLING IN BETWEEN"

From: lucasgordon Date: November 18, 2006 at 13:59

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 4, 2007 at 23:41

Uff! Que concierto! Recien llegadito a mi house y que decir.. Conciertazo! pero pero, se quedó corto el set pues no pudieron tocar "I´ll Be Over You"! PEACE OUT.

From: ferstyx Date: November 15, 2007 at 18:09

From: ferstyx Date: November 15, 2007 at 18:13

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: November 15, 2007 at 18:21

From: juan carlos Date: November 15, 2007 at 18:40

A pretty odd album for being Toto. But I love that they've got the balls to do something different. This is probably their heaviest since "Kingdom of desire" but with cool synth arrangements and I don't think Bobby Kimball ever has sung better! Greg Phillinganes has breathed much needed air into the band and he and Paich are the dream team on keys! Great album! Hope it's not their last. 9/10

I really love this album.Toto is the only band that can do many different kinds of music in one record, and "Falling In Between" proves it. it's fresh,it's musical and a lot of the best elements of Toto are there. Many people said they couldn't recognize the band on this.I don't see that way. Listen to "Georgy Porgy","Isolation","Gypsy Train","I'll Be Over You" and "Hydra",they sound very different from each other, and the same thing happens with this cd. My favourites are the title-track, "Simple Life" (shame that's too short),"Bottom Of Your soul" (Love Joseph!),"Spiritual Man" and "Hooked". Give this cd a chance,it's really good!.

After the attrocious Throug the Looking Glass the real TOTO are back and i couldn't be any happier. Falling in Between jumps one from style to another and it works. King of the World with shared vocals by Paich, Luke and Bobby is awesome. Hooked, Bottom of your Soul, No End in Sight, Taint your World, Falling in Between...there's so much good stuff here. Another highlight is Let it Go sung by Greg Phillinganes, what a great voice! The only song that doesn't do anything for me is Spiritual Man and what happened with Simple Life? It ends before it really started, way way too short. If this really is the last TOTO album, they went out with a bang.
