While usually not a big fan of live CD's, I found this CD by Slash and band to be a pleasant surprise. It's a nice mix of Slash solo material as well as songs from G&R, Snakepit and Velvet Revolver. I thought Miles Kennedy captured the different vocal styles of original songs while keeping his own identity and I actually thought his vocals improved "Nothing To Say" and the same with Bassist Todd Kerns singing "Dr. Alibi". Nice song selection and the sound quality/production is great. Based on this live CD, Slash and co. champion the sound/style that made G&R famous more than Axl's touring/solo band. |

I thought the sound quality and production was indeed very good. This album has a good rockin' vibe to it...especially on "Sweet Child O' Mine." It's weird; I really like this album but am just so-so with Apocalyptic Love. Maybe it's the G&R, Velvet, and Snakepit thing?? |
