If you like your rock in the mould of Lynch Mob / Dokken / Badlands etc......You wanna check these guys out pronto, fantastic hard rock featuring the talents of ex-'King Kobra / Big Cock'guitarist Dave Henzerling (aka David Michael Phillips) & 'Icon' vocalist Scott Hammons.....The only let down is that the album is way too short, although when it's this good / tasteful you won't care...Well worth trcking down. |

When was this guy a singer for Icon? |

Ok and predictable Hard Rock to me, yes this album is way too short, the question is why? it was supposed to be an EP?, whatever, my fav tracks are "Blood On the Highway" and "American Metal" 7.5/10 |

Scott Hammons was a mamber of Icon when the band reformed in 2008, also with Dave Henzerling. Juan, I know it's nothing knew, it's been done before, BUT when it's this good you can't keep it down....Don't get much in ya face hard edged rock with quality these days IMO....& sure this is damn fine quality. I'm lovin' it. |

The other comments are right on the money, this is nothing new as far as pushing any musical boundaries, it's just straight up hard rock done to perfection. Eight songs is a little short, but there is no filler. Dave Henzerling is also the guitarist and songwriter in Big Cock (another great band), so Tunnel is very similar stylistically (big choruses, riffs, etc.) but without the the over the top sexual innuendo of Big Cock. Scott Hammons is a top notch vocalist and sounds similar to Robert Mason, but maybe a little "grittier". And I agree with Juan Carlos, "Blood On The Highway" and "American Metal" are also my top two songs. I would really like to hear another album from Henzerling/Hammons/Tunnel. |
