Maybe nothing special if you are not a fan of Kip Winger. Not bad but it's something different what you'd expected from Kip. it sounds like Classic HR with an Acoustic vibe. Ok. 7.8/10 |

This is not exactly Winger in sound and it isn't exactly Kip Winger solo either(but you can hear influences of both in the mix). What this definitely is, is a damned fine straightforward Guitar Bass Drums, 80's sounding rock album with some fantastic, well written songs, tight and punchy production and a great groove throughout. Check out the excellent 'The Revolution', 'Nothing But The Sun' and the rather cool acoustic driven 'Wooden Shoe' for 3 of the albums highlights (of which there are many more). I wasn't going to bother with this, but picked up a copy cheap. In hindsight, I would have paid top dollar for this one. Rather bloody good. |

I first played this when I wasn't concentrating and I thought it was pretty good background music. Almost reminded me a little of recent Great White albums a little. But then I sat down and actually concentrated on it and that's when the wheels fell off. 'Your Revolution' was my pick of the disc early on, but I even deleted that one off my playlist. Definitely aimed more at fans of his solo stuff than fans of Winger. Simple rock music with a vintage vibe. Not for me. |
