Good recording with some super tunes. 'Too Hot To Handle' is one of the best rock songs ever--CLASSIC.

From: Jennifer Date: April 24, 2001 at 11:30
Not a bad song on this one. 'Love To Love' and 'Too Hot' are the best cuts. Classic stuff!

From: Wayne Date: April 26, 2001 at 11:32
Classic music with great arrangements on this one. 'Too Hot To Handle,' 'Lights Out,' and 'Love To Love' are the peak of this CD.

From: Conner Date: April 29, 2001 at 21:52
Some terrific songs on this one, complete with nice orchestrations. 'Too Hot' is the highlight.

From: Melinda Date: May 5, 2001 at 10:35
One of their best efforts, with great production and arrangements. The addition of Paul Raymond put UFO in a new class, and it really showed. Much better than average material on this one.

From: Frank Turner Date: May 11, 2001 at 12:13
'Lights' is a classic-I got this one on 8 Track when it came out and now the CD is just awesome. 'Too Hot To Handle' and 'Love To Love' are rock classics. Mogg's vocals on 'Love' are amazing.

From: RockDude Date: May 20, 2001 at 14:03
Lots of good ones on this CD! Not their best work but pretty close to it.

From: Kobyashi Date: June 2, 2001 at 11:21
Simply a classic! Songs such as 'Too Hot To Handle' are true rock classics. Mogg's vocals excelled on this work.

SUPER STUFF!!!!!

From: Curious B Date: January 31, 2002 at 12:56
This is a must for any Heavy Metal collection. Solid throughout. Schenker ripps and Mogg writes great stuff. Love it!!

From: duncan Date: February 23, 2002 at 10:43
love to love and try me are the best songs on this absolute classic album. anyone who has never heard these songs should check them out immediately if not sooner

From: Doug Date: June 15, 2002 at 16:50
I still can't understand why 'Too Hot To Handle' wasn't a huge radio hit. LIGHTS OUT is a strong album, second only to OBSESSION overall on UFO's material featuring Schenker.

From: Beevuss Date: September 16, 2002 at 20:23
Very good album.

From: freddy de keyze Date: December 19, 2002 at 8:34
Indeed a very good album, but not a classic one. Ufo is a great band, but none of their albums is classic stuff. Their whole career can be discribed as classic. They belong to the all time great hardrock bands !

From: Date: June 16, 2003 at 20:21
better produced than the earlier records this album is a classic.the signing of Paul was a masterstroke, his vocals are/were the finishing touch to an already superb group if you dont own it BUY IT

From: SrFloppy5 Date: August 28, 2003 at 17:52
'Try me' is incredible. very emotional and original structure aas well

From: John R Date: September 15, 2003 at 6:07
A really fine album - Love to love is a classic and one of my all time favourite tracks.

From: r.huber Date: January 27, 2004 at 8:14
Simply put....THE GREATEST RECORD of all time...Bar None!!!!!This record Rocks from open to close..UFO should've been at the top of the Rock world.....

From: AOR freaky Date: January 27, 2004 at 10:45
Great band, good record ! But . . . far from the best record ever, dear r.huber ! I agree that Ufo should have been bigger than they were/are. Curious to hear their soon to be released new CD !

From: Helen H Date: January 27, 2004 at 22:36
Lights Out is one of my favourite UFO albums, second only to Strangers in the Night. Best tracks are Lights Out, Love to Love and the heart-rending Try Me. I too look forward to the forthcoming new CD and subsequent European tour featuring Vinnie Moore on guitar and Jason Bonham on drums(due to start in March)I have it on good authority that they will be playing the UK in June although dates and venues have not been announced yet, so Lock up your Mothers!!!

From: dannyrock Date: February 1, 2004 at 15:42

Whooooohooooooooooo!!!!! Yeeeeeeeehawwwwww!!!!

From: Mr M Date: May 3, 2004 at 11:50
Second only to Obsession from their studio cannon, as far as I'm concerned. Try Me? Love to Love? Pass those hankies please, Mrs M.

From: Propane Date: December 1, 2004 at 18:42
Some of their greatest stuff here. Lights out was essential guitar virtuosity! Never let it be said that these hard rocking musicians ever slouched on this one.

From: Remastered Reason Date: February 2, 2006 at 20:20
Another stunning release from UFO, which is still standing tall over the competition even after all these years. Brilliant album top to bottom with maybe a slight filler song in 'Alone Again Or'. Essential to any hard rock collection.

From: Real rock fan Date: December 10, 2008 at 17:15
Not their best album but still a very good one. Standout`s for me are Too Hot To Handle, Gettin` Ready, Electric Phase and Love To Love.

From: hair metal again Date: April 13, 2010 at 8:17
amazing release by UFO back in 77 with ron nevison on board and paul raymond on keys.excellent catchy songs like the mega hit "too hot to handle" ,the sensational "try me" with the excellent solo by michael, the anthemic "lights out" and the unique "love to love".a real must have for everyone.brilliant!
