This is most well known as it features Robert Fleischman, who had a very short stint with Journey before Perry Arrived on the scene. Journey soundalikes these boys most certainly aren't and they put quite a refreshing slant on the AOR genre with something a little different, more Hi-tech but with more than a nod at The Police and The Outfield in the guitar department. The rhythm section is huge on here aswell and the whole band sounds fantastic as a unit. What I like most about this disc though, is that you have to actually listen to the songs properly, as they aren't your usual 'by numbers' AOR songs, where you already know what is coming by the song titles. Dave over at G-Daze described this album as 'Diving For Pearls 5 years earlier' which is an excellent summation of this disc. A real shame they only relesed the one album, as this is terrific and deserves it place near the top of a long list of quality bands of the time. |

'I'm By Your Side' is one of the best AOR openers ever. It is just superb and whilst the rest of the album is good it just cannot live up to this opener - and I think many albums would struggle to. On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the tops) this track is 11. This track is worth the admission price alone and I am very grateful this baby recently got a CD release. |

Decent album...even though i must admit that i'm not into Robert Fleischman kind of singing too much and somehow made me see this in a different perspective or point of view...anyway,"I'm By Your Side" despite good comments about this track,i found it just a cool one,"Made In America" obviously had 2 be catchy and it is,"Is It Someone" smooth,"It's Not Enough" good,"Wear White" yeah, liked it,"When I Look Back" has some catchy choruses & "Girls Like You" ...84/100 kinda simple album... |

Jez describes this album very accurately. They also remind me of A=440, another long lost classic from the mid 80's with a lone release to their name. AOR with hi-tech elements, and consistently good songs. |

writing this in 2022 from Liverpool UK.... had it on vinyl upoNn its release in 1984... from Penny Lane records... USA AOR imports is what we chased.... Balance... LeRoux, SPYS, Arrows Canada, Haywire etc..etc..we were experts in the field of high quality well produced albums usually with quality singers....as this is a great example. It had a nice "new wave" feel... hi tech with a touch of The Police with its shimmering chorus pedalled arpeggios... Fave track is "Wear White " .."Im by your side" has a Big Country go AOR feel lol, The Touch is also a Police type arpeggio'd classic..... I mourn the loss of this decade... early 80s to late 80s..a hugely prolific time for AOR melodic hi tech... |
