Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

This is a great album by this Canada hard rock band. Sadly their record label keep forcing them to be posers which often turned off their male fans, and release slower songs as singles. This album was to be the bands last. |

Although it was their last, it was their hardest, and for some their best. Visit www.brightonrock.ca for the lastest info including tour dates!! |

Last studio DISC - not as good as the others - production is great though. Nothing beats their debut - not their best - but if your a fan you will enjoy it - their previous was better than this though. It seems they got softer on each passing DISC. |

The second best Brighton Rock cd behind Take a deep breathe. A bit more heavier and rawer. Gerry is in fine form again, the title track is one of their best tunes yet. Bulletproof just plain rocks and the 2 ballads still the one and the Magic is back will bring a tear to your eye. I am so glad they are back together, Please come a do a club tour of Australia. Can't wait for a new studio album. Jay from Australia. |

This album is a killer. One of the better 92 releases. Pure hard rock the way we liked it in the 80s. BULLETPROOF is the most heavy song the boys ever did and NIGHTSTALKER is a killer song, one of the best ever by BRIGHTON ROCK. All hardrock lovers from the 80s need to have this one in the collection. CANADIAN ROCK FOREVER!!!!!!!!!! |

I was just looking at the track listing for this album and as I glanced over the title for 'Still the one' I felt a chill down the spine. That's how good that song is, that the memory alone is enough to chill me. Obviously that is my pick off this CD and truly a stunning track, but 'Love in a bottle' is a killer too, and there are plenty of good solid hard rock tracks here. Still don't like the vocals... but he goes okay on this one. Good disc, and this band always sound awesome musically too. |

If their debut was a base hit and their sophomore CD was a strike-out, then this album was a knock-it-out-of-the-park homerun. No more piss-poor production, no more wimpy AOR flavoring, just a bunch of cranked-up hard rock songs done with attitude & authority. You just gotta love this one! Brighton Rock always sounded like a melodic hard rock machine that couldn't quite get all their gears to mesh right, but on this final (to date, anyway) studio release, everything came together perfectly. |

Fortunately it’s very far from the painful debut, this one is a masterpiece. One of the greatest singer in the genre(if someone knows if this man has sung in other band??)”love machine”it’s one of my faves in sleaze/hard rock scene. Now I’ll try to hear again”Take a deep breath”hoping to scream again!!!Great great!10/10. |

very good hard rock release by BRIGHTON ROCK in a more guitarish sound.i really like the production by Toby Wright and especially the drums are so powerful.many good songs like the cracker "love in a bottle","mr mistreater","hollywood shuffle" and "still the one".91 was a great year |

Sorry guys but i did not find this as good as their 2 previous releases, this one is an enormous step down if you compare it with "Take A Deep Breath" of 1988(a matter of tastes i guess and respecting all the positive comments above mine)...the album has good moments though..."Love Machine" has an AORish feel that makes it my instant fave of the album..."Mr Mistreater","Love In A Bottle","Nothing To Do"(:cool![]() |

Listening to this right now, it's a good one with the awesome ballad Still The One. Not as good as the debut, but even with the 2nd one. Other good tracks are the great rocker Heart Of Steel, Love Machine, Mr. Mistreater, & Nothing To Lose. |

i admit honestly that i m not fan of this canadian band.i ve nothing against brighton rock but this band is a second zone hard rock band.i know one thousand band on this planet wich plays the same very common melodic hard rock.this record is their weakest effort.love machine is only reserve for die hard fan of this combo. |
