The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Scarecrow CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Scarecrow are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

This is the only scarecrow album I have. It REALY rocks, and can be considered essential for House of Lords fans. Later they changed their name to Arabia. Arabia's first record contains 6 songs from scarecrows first album. Although Arabia made a VERY nice album, it doesn't come near the second scarecrow album because is lacks the real power that you can find on this classic aor/hardrock gem.

I must say it was an accident i came to have this album but it is a keeper. A solid album that at times has the feel of Britny Fox "Bite Down Hard" era.

If anyone knows anything about Scarecrow's lead singer John Blaze's whereabouts please email me. I jammed with him in 1991 (german band) and need to contact him for a new project. peterpotens@yahoo.com

Another decent but not outstanding collection of hard rock. Got nothing bad to say about it, but it's just average as far as I'm concerned. Decent hard rock.

Man, I just totally disagree. I don't see the House of Lords comparisons at all. This sounds like a very poor man's Slave To The Grind, and is just awful, even for the price I paid.

I bought it on release in 1995, I worked at a music store and was on top of anything that was being released by Pavement, they sent no band bio's, no P.R., not even a genre on the release sheet's, I just had stumbled on to Headlock, B-Thong, and Uglystick, all on Pavement, and This CD was the next in the upcoming release catalog, so I ordered it, it's now going on 11 years since I bought it, and in those 11 years, even the most metal genius of my freinds have never heard them,

Pavement folded shortly after this release, nobody new anything about scarecrow,a buddy of mine, that's in a christian band saw this in my car,it blew his mind, this is a christian band, from what he said, majority of christian bands and listeners, frown upon releasing albums on seculur labels, and Pavementis about as unchristian as it gets,to this day,Blood Runs Blind is 1 of my favorite songs, and in my opinion the song that breaks up a pretty much by the book rock album and gives it a kick ass song

good CD 79/100 melodic METAL Great singer with a lot of attitude and some more heavier "modern" guitarz than 1st album ! But still plenty of hooks and melodies !

From: juan carlos Date: May 12, 2009 at 15:21
Melodic Metal? nop not for my ears. This is a solid HardRock album with Heavy riffs/Modern Sound, yep not as good as/Different from their album debut, but good anyway. Good Production, Good Singer(Bruce Dickinson is a good comparison), Solos, Hooks. "Blood Runs Blind" "Shelter"(acoustic) "September Child"(acoustic) are good ones. 7.9/10

Ya know vocally this is where this one soars, dude has the same attitude behind the voice as that of Brad Sinsel during his WarBabies period in fact this one's similar in makeup to that very classic album with maybe a pinch less melody. Scarecrow's Touch Of Madness dabbles with the then genre of the day but manages to retain some old school bump and grind albeit with more maturity. In its entirety songwise this doesn't quite nail it each time but at least half of this one has the songs to prove, Beggars Bag is a good heavy start and the brilliant swagger of Jesus Wept is a long time favorite. Blood Runs Blind is beautiful and its Blaze's voice that truly brings this one home, sensational vocal sensational song. Shelter and Last Temptation are my remaining picks, both squeezing out more melody than brutal rifters that came earlier... Heavier than Arabia that came later although both worth your time and consideration, this one edges out the others. Solid album I'd go an 8/10.
