From: Dragonfly Date: December 14, 2001 at 19:44
This is the stuff that Whitesnake should have been putting out after their 1987 release. Alot of the same style and they do a great job at it. Very good songs with very good playing.

i completely agree with jake. although he posted his review 2 years ago it's lost not a bit of its value. lionsheart's other two recs are damn recommendable too. what a pity that the guys deciced to call it a day several years ago...

i listen to lionsheart cd from "abyss" that release recenly! i think they are great,so i begin to buyy their all albums ! this debut is my favorite album! got some yngwie's guitar style, got some whitesnake style!the lead vocal is great voice for hard rock! highly recommend!

From: Rene Date: October 11, 2004 at 14:23
I agree with you guys. Very good album. Best LIONSHEART album because it still have that tipical GRIM REAPER sound in their songs(at least some). Also a live album they released some time ago(LIVE IN JAPAN 1993) is very good with some cool GRIM REAPER songs on it. Their last album ABYSS is not my favorite LIONSHEART album but its not bad of course. All GRIM REAPER fans need to buy this album.

From: Geoff Date: January 16, 2005 at 1:51
There is one track on this album with a hard rock riff so awesome it almost has the potential to tear your balls off, but I can't recall which one and don't even know if I kept it before I traded it. I had this ages ago but traded before I had a CD burner. It's good if you like straight ahead hard rock, but once again this just isn't really my sort of stuff and didn't have the big melodic I ached to hear. Obviously a very good band though...

From: Lynchomaniac Date: January 31, 2005 at 20:26
This album lacks only one thing and that is a stronger production to do the songs the justice they so damn well deserve! Melodic Hardrock jewel in the vein of 87'era Whitesnake - and that's no kiddin'!

From: rallen399 Date: February 7, 2009 at 11:32
One of the best voices in rock along with smokin' guitars.I just found out about these guys about a year ago and they have become one of my favorite bands. This cd and Under Fire are my favs.I hope they are going to keep putting out cds and don't get forced out of the bus. cause they are just what we need.

From: Metal T Date: March 19, 2009 at 20:35
An unbelieveable gem...and after revisiting this and hearing 'Can't Believe' & 'Portrait' again this (along w/Pride In Tact,Under Fire & Abyss) are without a doubt some of the best discs ive ever heard period.Class vox, songs and shredding on those.Great band and all these deserve an official domestic US release-as the distribution channels for the Lionsheart stuff (outside of europe and asia) have never been too good.Great freakin' band!--

From: dzmac Date: October 13, 2009 at 6:14
Always thought Pride In Tact was a great album, but wasn't impressed with the next two - they were ok. Never bought this album as it was always quite expensive, but recently bought The Psychics album (with the Owers brothers on guitar and vocals) and decided to track it down.Picked it up on Ebay finally for $10.00 and wow!Fantastic album - a great mixture of Whitesnake 1987 and Blue Murder with better vocals.Highly recommended.Check out the Psychics for more great vocals and out of this world shredding.

From: True Believer Date: January 21, 2010 at 19:53
Agree with dzmac. The Psychics album is simply sensational, it contains all that the real hard rock fan loves - great riffs, powerful vocals and amazing solos, eclipsing those on Lionsheart albums. Steve is a singer and Mark play the guitar on that album. Their music mixes influences of Badlands, Whitesnake, Blue Murder and Lionsheart. For me that was the best release of 2009.

Steve Grimmett can BRING IT. Good Lord, one of the best singers in melodic metal by far. Great guitar work here, too. Love this cd.

From: Mikey Date: June 28, 2012 at 16:22
Always liked Steve Grimmett, and I think this is his best work. Heavy but still very melodic, great songs and musicianship.

From: dany69 Date: August 16, 2022 at 11:32
RIP Steve
