Excellent product from first rate musicians. Best tracks are "Missing You" and the phenomenal version of the classic "Whiter Shade Of Pale." Shame these guys didn't work together on another project. A classic!

This is one of my faves. Hagar sounded great and Schon kicked ass. Shrieve and Aaronson combined with Neal and Sammy to form a dynamite group. HSAS is a classic.

Schon was HOT as fire on this one!! I love Hagar's voice on this sucker too...it's some of the best singing he has ever done. I wish these guys would do another 'side' project like this because this album is a classic from classic musicians. THANK YOU HSAS FOR THIS MUSIC!!!!!!

ONE FINE CD!!!!!! Man I wish they had done another one but I suppose having only one makes them even more 'legendary.' "Whiter Shade Of Pale" and "Missing You" are incredible!! "My Home Town" Smokes!! AWESOME!!

One of the best from the 80's! Often overlooked and forgotten, this one stands up against others just fine. Check it out yourself and you'll hear how great it is.

If you like this, Sammy is doing another side project with Neal Schon, Dean Castranova (he was in Hardline with Neal), Michael Anthony, and possibly Slash. Check out melodicrock.com for news.

One of the best musicians"get toghether"ever!Samy, before Van Halen,Neil Schon from Journey and Kenny from Billy Idol!We can see musicaly speaking in this record something of a harder rocki'n Journey, and plain Haggar type of input that we can see that changed Van Halen! It isn't aor and yet the more traditional hard rock you've ever seen!Sammy's singing is just great! My favourite tunes:Missing You,the"strange"Animation and the awsome "twilight"He Will Understand!99/10!!It really ROCKS!!!!!!

One of the greatest hard rock albums EVER! Hagar's voice and Schon's guitar are flawlessly melodic. The 'Planet Us' (Sammy Hagar, Neil Schon, Michael Anthony, Dean Castranova) release can not come fast enough!

The radio friendly "Whiter Shade" is the absolute weak link on this collection. HSAS were in a zone when this went down. It couldn't have been hotter music if these guys tried. Do any remember HSAS at the Cow Palace on MTV? We need to declare this group a national treasure! Anybody who down plays this one either has no sence of rock & roll OR needs an enema full of common sence. HSAS were men among boys, 1%'ers of the trade. Study the history of these guys. Impressive! Where's #2?

I loved it when it came out, and still love it today. Being a guitar player, this album made Schon a big influence on me, Rock-n-Roll!!

Hard to believe, but this was recorded live and released with the crowd noise removed. It sounds just as great today as it did 20 years ago. I love it when the bass joins in on "My Home Town." A classic!

Like EVH, Schon can play fast and still convey emotions. On this album, he was really let loosed unlike in his Journey albums with Steve Perry.

This is shit hot! Hagar and Schon is a match made in heaven and the live recording (less crowd noise) gives it a real raw feel. 'Top of the Rock' and 'Hot and Dirty' see Schon flying...fantastic stuff.

WOW!!!!! After 20+ years I still listen to this record religiously. If you don't have it, get it, it is a real masterpiece. Try and find the live show that MTV aired. It really smokes. It was taped here in San Jose and Neal was just on Fire. (no pun) The cover of Whiter Shade of Pale is still on the radio in the Bay area regularly. That by far is the standard in which all remakes will always be measured. I think this is the best Sammy has EVER sounded. His vocal range is just amazing on this. A+

Joder....!!

Excellent combo with two mega stars!!!(Hagar & Schon)...wonderful tracks such as "Top Of the Rock" a song that...rocks!!!,"Missing You" with that AOR flavour definetely is the best song of the album IMHO,"Valley Of The Kings" solid,"Whiter Shade Of Pale" nice and moody cover of the famous Procol Harum song,"Hot And Dirty" is a typical song that you can find at any Sammy Hagar's solo efforts ,"He Will Understand" a highlight & "My Home Town" ends the album in the same way it started..rocking!!!!..Neal Schon giving us the "school" of how to play guitar and the other 2 guys (Aaronson,a bass player and a member of Billy Idol band at that stage and Shrieve,a talented drummer)...in general lines, this album is worth having it!!!.91/100

Unfortunately, follow up work never happened as surely this is a very decent album. The cover of Procol Harum works very well, Missing You is a great ballad and Animation is the best rocker off this one. Schon and Hagar shine on this one.
