I AM SURPRIZED NO ONE COMMENTED ON THIS RECORD THIS IS A AWWWWWSSSSSSSOOOOOOMMMMEEE ALBUM THE LINE UP ALONE WILL EXPLAIN ALL 10/10

From: Kim Date: October 21, 2001 at 12:20
Youre right, this one is a killer, fantastic musicians and strong tracks.

From: Edwin Date: April 16, 2002 at 19:43
this is a truly stunnig performace of some of rock's finest musicians. It took ages for the line-up to become a steady and recording one, but in the end we are the winners. This stuff is classic. The solid base laid down by Sarzo and Aldridge proves to provide the perfect groove for shredder MacAlpine to fire off his riffs and excellent guitarsolo's. Rob Rock was the up and comming star and he will always be! Check his solo record Rob Rock's "Rage of creation" for an extra portion of DRIVERmusic

From: Pretenseoso Date: June 10, 2002 at 7:22
This is one of my favorite cd's of all times. Solid Rock. Como debe ser COJONES!!! no tanta mierda y maricodada que sale hoy día al mercado musical. Ojala fuese hoy 1986....

From: Andre Tekken Date: July 25, 2002 at 16:01
Dream team!Sophisticaded melodic typical american metal at it's best!I would even risk to mention a bit of a futuristic atmosphere in this record.I never saw Aldridge play like this hyper solid tecnic drums!Sarzo proves that he is among the best in music business!MacAlpine puts all of his very own sounding in this effort!Wonderful melodies and atmosphere!Plus his sharp hard riffing can only I guess be compared with the likes of George Linch,Doug Aldritch,Van Halen I guess!!!

From: Andre Tekken Date: July 25, 2002 at 16:09
I almost forgot;Bob Rock I think the best at that time, the best newcommer singer! He sings with such passion and power!Plus he climbs the scale up and down just like in dreams!Tony also proves that he is also a keyboard wizard!Great metal with great musicians what else you could possibly ask for???!!!

From: ROB GARCIA Date: January 19, 2003 at 12:24
this album is worth buying by tony mcalpine guitar playing alone!!fuckin ell this guy can play or what!?

From: Great Dane Date: February 4, 2003 at 19:21
Is this one available anywhere.????????

From: Warlordy Date: February 4, 2003 at 20:49
To Great Dane:I don't know if it's available in Denmark but here in Greece you can't find it in many vinyl stores at low price. The result is up to 80% of what you expected adding the importance of those musicians, very nice record however. "Fantasy" being the hit from it.

From: Scandinavia Date: June 8, 2003 at 21:22
Yes, this album is amazing! A lot of Macalpine fans think it sucks but if you listen to it as an album and not just the guitars you'll hear perfect crafmanship being executed to perfection from all musicians....Heavy metal all-stars! There ain't one bad tune on this one. Melodic but yet heavy with a real top-class metal production. I recommend: "Nations on fire", "Nostradamus", "Unknown survivor" and "Stand up and fight" in particular. For me this is damn close to 80s metal perfection

From: Scandinavia Date: June 25, 2003 at 5:19
Gotta comment on this again...Damn close to being my number 1 80s metal album...If you don't have it yet go find it immediately!

From: Steel Prophet Date: June 28, 2003 at 12:09
IT'S A BOMB!!! "Project: Driver" is timeless classic! Great musicians, and awesome songs (some texts are bit cheesy, though). Aldridge and Sarzo at their best, MacAlpine is MONSTER (now, that's what I call great guitar playing), and Rob Rock is one of the greatest singers!!! This is a dream-team!!! This album is dream!!! Anyone who likes USA 80's power metal with neo-classical and progressive touch will LOVE THIS!!! Tony genije, pa ti si booooooooooooooog! Robe majstore, najbolji si!

From: THE ROCKER Date: August 4, 2003 at 14:51
no hay palabras,la formacion lo dice todo, un 10

From: Jade Date: November 2, 2003 at 0:51
Well in 1988/89, Mike Varney needed another Racer x and he got it here. There is some great melodic heavy metal on this one and no doubt a classic but it sucked all these stupid musicans had to impress and show off instead of contributing to the song and make it worth the fans money considering this cd retail wise due to Sharnal is $$ and because of that they couldnt add more songs to this cd?

From: Scandinavia Date: November 2, 2003 at 7:28
What do you mean in 88/89??? This one's from 86!!!

From: Jade Date: January 22, 2004 at 17:26
Oh,am i a moron who deserves to die for that error Scandinavia ? Well it is on so many websites listed that it came out in 1989 which is an error obviously but yes I was wrong because the rhythm section here got pulled into in whitesnake disolving this band so your correct though its sad alot of your opinions on great albums are not the same

From: Scandinavia Date: January 23, 2004 at 10:02
Hahaha...Talk about taking things personally...

From: Franky Fan Date: March 11, 2004 at 15:47
one of the best line ups ever (after that from Whitesnake 1987)

From: Rockhead Date: March 12, 2004 at 14:43

From: figgy Date: March 28, 2004 at 17:19

From: jagpanzer Date: January 26, 2005 at 12:57
the best RACER X album

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 8, 2005 at 23:52
Great Hard-Rock/Metal album, Killer Guitars, sinceramente albums asi alzan el nombre del metal mostrandonos a un Macalpine de lo mas grande y Junto al Eyes Of The World lo mejor de el ni que decir de Rob Rock a las voces, Aldridge y Sarzo, me hacen recordar a los Cacophony pero este es Superior Writings on the Wall, Stand Up and Fight, Fantasy, Slave to My Touch, I Can See It In Your Eyes tremendos cortes y que no hacen decidirte por tu favorita ya que son parejos.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: June 8, 2005 at 23:56
Un disco que no puede faltar en toda coleccion de todo amante del buen Rock, ya sea AOR, Metal, Hard Rock etc, este es una Imperdible.

From: Lovedrive Date: July 17, 2005 at 6:28
Vaya, a mi me ha parecido horrible.. para gustos los colores..

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: July 17, 2005 at 16:16

From: pompeius Date: December 4, 2005 at 21:33
I remember that I found this disappointing, but after reading all the raves I figured I'd better double check. It just doesn't suit my personal taste. It's that due south of Malmsteen sort of shred cd that is so popular in Japan. Too much shredding, unleavened by the Mats Olaufson melody that makes Yngwie enjoyable. Also Rock's vocals are that sort of Bonnet/Vescera cat yowling that I find annoying. Fans of Impelletari, Alcatrazz, Loudness would enjoy this. Too much racket for me though.

From: ROBERT Date: January 29, 2006 at 11:57
¿Este disco es d 1986 o d 1987?

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 18, 2006 at 22:52
1986 dear Robert and by the way one of the most notorious album of metal/speed ever.Kinda hard seing Mr Sarzo playing this kind of stuff if you think about his time playing with Whitesnake. The band talks to itself even though they just released an album.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 18, 2006 at 22:56
Well the year is not important, the important thing is that the album rocks you to hell!!!!.Thumbs up 4 this one dudes!!!!.

From: lalorock Date: June 30, 2007 at 18:07
