| Monster of a rock album. In top 5 of 2008 in my books. Hardest tracks like Burn The Witch, Defend Or Die & Knight Of The Living Dead strike you first. After repeated listening the others will follow. Magdalene Street, I'm With The Band, Start Of Something etc. Just great honest rock with a hint of tongue in cheeck on some tracks. People thinking this is just The Darkness part two, let me tell you, it is not. People take a chance with this, you won't regret.

| Very solid disc. I HATE (even despise) The Darkness but don't let that put you off this. This sounds nothing like The Darkness, thank christ. What this does sound like is Britny Fox's follow-up to 'Bite down hard'. Seriously, this guy on vocals is a dead-ringer for Tom Paris. And this CD kicks ass. The worst song here is better than the best song The f*cking Darkness ever recorded. There are a few fillers, but so many more gems. Hard to pick a fave, but I'd probably have to go with 'You Brought A Knife To A Gunfight'. If you love Britny Fox's 'Bite down hard', give this a go.

| great cd! although the one singer does sound like tommy paris the other one sounds like lenny wolf of kingdom come. this cd is not as aggresive as bite down hard by britny fox and has alot of glam overtones to it. it does also sound like kingdome come in some places as well! well worth gettin though! 92/100

| While I liked The Darkness' first album others on here may be put off this one because of the connection. This sounds nothing like either of The Darkness' two albums but instead is a good solid album full of great songs. The singer does indeed sound like Tommy Paris aka Don Jillson and it fits perfectly with the style of music. You Brought A Knife To A Gunfight, Where You Comin' From, Lazy Bones and Burn The Witch are all excellent tracks.

| I absolutely despise The Darkness with a passion (going back to before they were even signed to a record deal) but always said that the only thing I really hated about them was the vocals. So when they split up, I was over the moon. So what we got here was a chance for me to see if my theory of them being a band I might actually like if Justin Hawkins was removed. Firstly the vocals on this are head and shoulders better than his warbling twuntary, but even the music is better as it takes a slightly harder edge and has far less campishness than was always evident with The Darkness. Songs like Knife fight, Burn the witch and Defend or die are fantastic, but the true highlight for me is the awesome ballad, Lazy bones. Sadly this was a one and done release and then they went back to working with the guy with the worst vocals in rock.
