|Such an honour to be the first one to comment about this new jewel of WOA!!!...great follower of their debut one "Artwork" of 2008 even though somehow i prefer it over this "In Progress" but the balance at the end leads to both releases being killer ones!!!....Lars Safsund is undoubtebly one of the most charismatic AOR singers of the moment and the rest of the guys doing a marvellous job too...great songs in here are "The Rain","Nature Of The Game","Once Again","Until You Believe"(nice one),"The Great Fall"(first single and with a good video),"Emelie" & "Fall Down"(great!)...this is gonna be undoubtebly one of the best releases of this year 2011...highly recommended...98/100

|Not at the level of their album debut but it's a great album somehow. Great album guys! 90/100

|Hmmm ..., I'm a little disappointed, to be honest. After 2 spins I find this rather boring, sort of "samey" and AOR by numbers. It definitely is not on the same level as WOA's debut and I expected more from their second release.

|This is a really fab disc (as was seriously hoped for). Maybe it does lack a little diversity and the Toto'isms of the debut are still well to the fore, no more so than on 'One Step Away', but it is consistent as hell and kept my attention for the full 50 odd minutes. Whether it's better than the debut, the judge is still out, as that was a very special debut, and it may not come in at numero uno on my end of year list either, but this will probably turn out to be THE best pure AOR disc of the year

|Underwhelmed and let down best describes this sophomore slump release IMO. I know on HH 'SOME' of the regulars divide into 2 camps, the rockers and AOR purists giving unfair number ratings/reviews of bands outside their wheelhouse. My taste leans towards the harder edge but I like AOR when it's done well. 'Work of Art' set the bar high with 'Artwork' but I don't hear any tracks on 'In Progress' that can hold a candle to 'Cover Me' off the debut. There is nothing wrong with this release as this band are the current poster boys for Westcoast AOR. I just find it uninspired overall without a couple knock-out tracks, having too many average songs such as 'Call On Me', 'One Step Away', 'Falling Down'. Let's not count our chickens before they hatch for best of 2011.

|I agree somewhat with u stallion!! No there isn't the stand out tracks of the debut but and this is a big BUT this is more consistent than the debut!! And I do agree with u that the verbal blow jobs with this had me thinking as well that this was the second coming of Christ as well!!! But after it is all said and this is a very good aor cd!!

|And what is fair and right to you???..your opinion???...the rest of the people are "wheelhouse" residents just because you don't like the rates and good comments that SOME of the REGULARS write in here???...but the funniest thing is that at the end "there's nothing wrong with this release"...give me a break!!!

| rick Chavez vzla - I know the new comment section looks like your personal blog, but I wasn't addressing you. Address me by my HH given name as with my sarcastic smart-ass style I don't beat around the bush if I have something to say to someone. Your comments are lost in translation so I will clarify my original statement. "giving unfair number ratings/reviews" This applies to what I call 'Ratings Jackers' which means giving many 'extreme' unfair number ratings for a release. Here is one example of many regulars. Select CDs Rated by Scrounger Artist CD Rating Aerosmith Pump 1 Bon Jovi New Jersey 1 Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet 1 Firehouse Firehouse 100 Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion I 1 Only Child Only Child 1 Def Leppard High 'n Dry 1 Warrant Cherry Pie 100 Get the picture? "There is nothing wrong with this release" = AOR by the numbers. Nobody is funnier than you rick on HH because we all can't get enough of your ICONS and quantity - quality comments.

|yeah yeah man...now you are an angel MetallianStallion(the king of the metal bands but sniffing in POP bands like WOA too!!!)....give me a break!!!..is well known by people in here your destroying comments in other person's ones just because you "HATE" the soft side of rock or the hi tech side of AOR or whatever...and not only that, you destroy the persons who write here PEACEFULLY...my personal blog???...no man is Dan's(owner of the site)what i'm only doing is keeping te site alive IN A FRIENDLY WAY...not by making fun of RATERS or WRITERS just simply because you don't agree in what some people write(obviously i am your main target)..don't worry man...if you think my comments have no quality, well is your personal opinion(which i respect) but one thing is for sure dude,i'm the same like you,if i have to say something to someone i won't go around the bush either...LIVE AND LET LIVE man....peace out!!!!

|This was a slight disappointment.Yes the production is to die for and verses and bridges of the songs rule, but choruses are not hooky enough. I might be in the monority but I think the debut is a lot better album as a whole. As a 9-10 tracker In Progress would benefit a lot.

|"In Progress" is a storming album and, in my book, lies up at the top-3 for 2011.Can't figure out why some WOA fans didn't get into it.Strange world we're living in I'd, as I can't find any solid ground to understand their points.I bet that many of those who give their thumbs down to this album (I'm not refering to anyone here as seemingly Stallion has -at least- listened to the record) haven't even bothered to listen to the album but, at the same time, the opinions are falling like domino. I hate when someone does not form an opinion on his own but just keeps duplicating another's blindly. It's really a shame for quality bands like WOA that keep the flame alive as for the mnusic itself.

|very good release by WORK OF ART and their talent is obvious once again.overproduced and polished ,this one has its strong melodic lines but i d prefer a better balance between guitars and keys.you know guitars arent only for solos and in their next one i d like to see some more guitar driven songs.anyway there are many fine songs like "the great fall","until you believe","the rain" and "never love again".overall a very good release that i will buy!

|I like the album. It's the kind of songs you have to listen a few times to really start enjoying and realizing how well they were crafted. I really like 'Until You Believe' and 'Never Love Again'. WOA have shown maturity with this effort. A little less melodious than their debut but a notch up in quality. And the video of their track 'The Great Fall' is very well made...loved it!
