THE classic It Bites album, 50 minutes of heaven & One of the best, if not the best rock albums to come out of this country in the 80's. It Bites were always put under the Progressive rock banner, but were way more accessible than that tag implies. Listen to tracks like 'Yellow Christian''Kiss Like Judas' & 'Rose Marie' - Utterly brilliant, and as for the 14 minutes of the epic title track, WOW. If you haven't heard this album before, do yourselves a huge favour and go and blag a copy right now.

You really have to like your prog to get into this one. I guess they tried to throw in a few AOR-type melodies, but it didn't get through to me. For prog fans.

Yeah, Jez, you are right. They are labeled progressive, but to me the dominant genre here is AOR/Pop. They are always melodic, and the songs have direction. Of course there is prog elements throughout, but that doesn't lessen the AOR elements. Really underrated, and extremely talented band.

Second release that contains two of the most strongest songs of the band and obviously the best cuts of the album in the shape of "Midnight" & "Kiss Like Judas"..."Yellow Christian"(nice),"Rose Marie" & "Black December"(great!) are also highlights of this release that put apart the Pop/AOR thing a bit away and did mostly Prog Rock...recommended...87/100

This is really a AOR album to me. I don't see the prog references. Solid release.
