It's too difficult write in English?!!! Great example of Scandi aor, superb musicianship and ultracatchy songs, a sure buy. I red Joey Tempest was inspired by 'Too Wild' writing 'Rock the Night'....

This is a cool start. It's not really that great an album, but for the time I do think it is very, very good. The first 4 are excellent peices of melodic hard rock, and there are a few anthems and a nice ballad I don't personally love, but is better than a lot at the time. As I said, not brilliant but compared to other releases in 1985 I think it showed how great they were destined to be. Massive hooks on this one...

This is actually the only Treat CD I own and I bought it after hearing so many great things about them. I have to say I was very disappointed and didn't bother picking up their other albums. But I will someday I'm sure. I didn't find a single stand out track on here, probably due to bad production (And it is atrocious). Nothing here was really bad but overall the songs ranged from not-very interesting to good but not great. Better things to come after this one I hope. 4/10

Decent, but unspectacular release, like most of the scandi-releases. Hardrock by numbers !

Well done Freaky I'm glad someone finally spilled the beans about Scandi AOR/Hard Rock, so much of it is so predictable. The list of average bands is endless ... and you can guess where the guitar solo's will be and even the lyrics...oohh fallin apart..ooh broken heart ..and fake U.S. accents e.t.c. Where the Scandi scene really excels is ambient or progressive trippy stuff like Hidria Spacefolk. That's it everyone will hate me now. I do own this you know plus the pre release single of Too Wild.

This isn't my favourite Treat CD, but Treat is one of my fave bands and I'm a little curious Nick. Are Scandi bands any more predictable than US bands in AOR/Hard rock? Their lyrics on subjects other than broken hearts etc? Are there not just as many average US bands? Fake US accents? Which bands try US accents? I have hundreds of Scandi bands without this feature. No offence mate, but I can't see anything in your post that Scandi's do more than anyone else does. They're not bad, just different.

Hi Geoff I guess my initial post may have been a little harsh. It's just that I have yet to find a Scandi band that has that 'X' factor. There are reasonable Scandi albums but they all seem a little workmanlike to myself. There are loads of average U.S. bands but you also get the occassional diamond thrown up by the scene .. whereas for me that really has never happened from the Scandinavian scene. The best I feel are House of Shakira who have their own sound (especially on the early demos).

I've a fair few, Treat, Alien, Sons of Angels, Rat Bat Blue, that bunch who did the album Earthquake Visions (whose name escapes me), Europe, 220 Volt & quite a few more some of which don't fall under AOR like Trash, Electric Boys, Swedish Erotica, Shotgun Messiah (Kingpin) e.t.c. but none of them get played at all anymore. They don't seem to have that ummpphhh!! I can't explain it. Sometimes I'm most definately a jerk and I guess Scandi rock is one of those fields I excel at being a Jerk in ha!

Yep Nick C you do excel at being a jerk in reviewing Scandi bands. Its ok tho. Everybody is entitled to their own ( wrong ) opinion. But saying bands like Europe( albums Out of this world and Prisoners in Paradise), Dalton, Treat, Great King Rat, Skagarack, Torben Scmidt, Pangea are similar and not special.....Well besides the fact i cant take your comments seriously i guess you have a found a friend for life in buddy Freaky. Yep a match made in heaven

One of the few releases where I can close my eyes on horrendous production which is somehow compensated by 9 brillian songs. I first heard 'Get u On the Run' from the 'Organized crime'(re-written version), and listening to the same song on this debut later on almost made me vomit. One song-two different presentations! Well, it is a great versatile album. Cannot figure out wether it is AORish Rock or Rocky AOR. This CD could have been HUGE is the production was better. to be continued...

...if only all of these songs were re-written/re-recorded as well as 'Get you on the run'('Organized Crime' version), this CD would be among top 10 in my book. Great debut, but I personally prefer 'Pleasure Principle', which is much much better produced and written.

I'm glad that this disc will re-release on CD by Swedish label Universal very soon this year.. But until then I have to listen to this on LP. We Are One and Get You on the Run are the classics. 9,5 out of 10.

fantastic debut by a very good and faithful to its music band.despite the poor production you can feel the quality of their music.they have the expected sweden sound with some early def leppard influences.there are 4-5 songs above average and i think that not so many bands played that way back then.my fav is"get you on the run" and "hidin".check it out ,this album really rocks

Good album, but not much remarkable. The poor production harmed it. My favourites are the catchy 'Get You on the Run' and the beautiful ballad 'We Are One'. The re-issue contains 2 bonus tracks.

The line up on this page is a later line up, not the one from this album. This looks like a list of the Organized Crime line up to me. Only correct ones are Ernlund (not Emlund as listed) and Wiksrom. Leif Liljegren would have been on guitar. Mats Dahlberg would have been on drums. And Ken Siewertson would have been on bass.
