Up front, I'm a HUGE fan of Treat. Being in the US, I didn't know about them until about '98. When they announced that Coup de Grace would be the last disc, I was truly bummed as I thought that disc was the best from start to finish in the last 20 years and there have been some great ones. With that said, I have been anticipating GoG since I heard they were going to record again. I'll have to live with it a bit longer to see how it really compares with CdG but after 3 spins, I think the back half of CdG is a bit better but not by much. Actually, I think the strength of "Life to Die For" from CdG may be the difference maker to me. Just a tremendous song. While "Together Alone" is good, and Anders sings well, it not at the level of "Life to Die For". The rest of GoG is just high class, smart hard rock with wonderful sing-along choruses on most of the songs. With a lot of simplistic hard rock being recorded today, it is always a great pleasure to put on a new disc that is full of lush har

....harmonies, memorable lyrics and choruses and a production that punches you in the throat and that is what GoG did to me. 9.5/10.

i m fan of this band since the eighties, and i was under the charm about "coup de grace" ,their last exceptional record ;what fantastic come back.of course i was very excited about the fact that they offer us a new record.like for the defiants ,finally it s a deception."ghost of graceland" don t hooked me.this new record have not the spark of class of "coup de grace".not a bad record ,an ok realise, consistant and very decent but ...not more.

I am totally agree with 123charpenay, álbum without craw and soul, melodic rock administrator review 99, this guy has to go to comittee with frontiers records, all the albums the score Wells above its level

From: 123charpenay Date: April 21, 2016 at 13:46
yes edukiki i see the mark of 99 for treat and 98 for the defiants on the melodic rock site.it s a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: edukiki Date: April 21, 2016 at 16:30
yes 123 charpenay, melodic rock site, reviews it depends on the tastes of the moderator, not of quality of disc The Defiants is better tan Treat record, totally Harem Scarem last 10 albums put reviex 100 in all disc, in my opinión none of the last ten disc of harem scarem worth more tan 85, is a second league group, but it mast be that he likes

Great cd? Yes, a great follow up to the fantastic CDG? my opinion is no, as much as I do like it(and I do)it's not even close to greatness I feel CDG was/is. The Melodic/catchiness of CDG is set back a bit and is for of a rock album, which is ok but was hoping for more. this will still be top 5ish of the year for me. Inferno,I Don't Miss The Misery, Nonstop Madness, House On Fire, Do Your Own Stunts, Endangered are my top picks. Still highly recommend!!!

Almost as good as the last one, and with a slightly better sound (richer in bass, better mastering), this is a full throttle winner! Robert sings well, and there are some nice notes still with range, and the band is very pro all of them, esp. Anders. He's a very talented musican. Not to compare, but song-wise, Treat are (to my ears) so much better than new era (anti hair metal) Europe. Miles better.

Tough to follow up Coup de Grace which was, to my ears, a modern AOR masterpiece (not sure why it has such a low rating on here?). For a while, this album lives up to it; the first half has plenty of extremely catchy songs with that Swedish flavor no one brings better than these guys. The second half of the album drops off a lot though IMO and I'm missing a lot of the shredding guitar leads from CdG.. Favorite songs are: Endangered, I Don't Miss the Misery, and Alien Earthlings.

This is the only album I liked by them.

Forget what I said, I'm was in the wrong page.

From: titothetitan Date: April 20, 2017 at 8:58
Not as good as Coup de Grace but it's a nice follow-up. There were no up-tempo songs here and I was a bit disappointed. "Do Your Own Stunts" is my favourite song. 85/100

From: titothetitan Date: November 16, 2017 at 9:00
First four tracks are very good. Then tracks 5,6,7,8,9 are average. Tracks 10,11,12 are very good, though.

Treat will release a NEW ALBUM this year! Titled 'Tunguska'. The song 'Build The Love' was released as the first single.

From: hair metal again Date: September 11, 2018 at 2:56
excellent release once again for TREAT delivering their anthemic sing along songs in high melodic lines !great songs, riffs, solos and overall a stellar musicianship though i d prefer the keys to be less modern and more on the typical 80 s sound!all the songs are remarkable even though i cant find any big hits ...been a TREAT fan since their Organized Crime days and i m always glad to hear from them

From: Eric3 Date: September 19, 2018 at 22:09
Following up over two years later... "I Don't Miss The Misery" is one of the catchiest choruses I have EVER heard.
