This band is a real 'treat' for anyone who loves big, over-the-top melodic hard rock. The guitars dominate the mix instead of the keyboards, giving the album a true hard rock edge. The hooks are simply huge and the choruses, with their stacked backing vocals, are catchy as hell. Sweden is second only to Germany in terms of producing high quality melodic rock bands and TREAT is a perfect example of that.

From: RainStar2k Date: March 3, 2002 at 23:45
Treat is.... Ahhh to say a 'treat' would be a little corny but it is ohsotrue. Fans of the Scandi-feel pomp synth heavy stuff always go crazy over this. If Skagarack and Icon are in your collection than this is a must have. Catchy and brilliant.

From: Sandri Date: March 9, 2002 at 6:53
The best TREAT Album together with 'Organized Crime', this cd is the best way to go to heaven. Unbelive songs. Much better than others scandi bands. A magical group touched by the gods....A gift for your heart, soul and mind.

From: Paolo Date: June 17, 2002 at 17:29
A real masterpiece of melodic hard rock! All the songs are simply beautiful and Robert Ernlund is a top class singer; a brillant example of Scandinavian AOR!! Buy it.

From: Funwolf Date: August 22, 2002 at 1:55
***Great,wonderful album***

From: METAL KID Date: August 24, 2002 at 21:49
100/100 FOREVER YOUNG SERIES!!!DONT MISS IT!!

From: West Of Sunset Date: January 4, 2003 at 5:25
An amazing Cd, but a real shame that Robert Ernlund sings on this one because I think that ROBERT IS ONE OF THE WORST SINGERS IN ROCK HISTORY, what a ridiculous voice!!!! i can't stand this kind of 'vocalists'. On the other hand the CD is fantastic with great songs and production, for me is the best after teir last self titled CD relased in 1992 with A REAL GREAT SINGER CALLED MATS LEVEN, a shame that Mat didn't sing on this CD. 0/10 for Robert and 8/10 for the Cd E-mail:westofsunset@hotmail.com

From: freddy de keyze Date: January 13, 2003 at 9:17
Nothing special, this CD. Very average, like 990f scandinavian and european releases. Like said before : the americans and canadians do this 1000 better !!!!

From: Scandinavia Date: August 29, 2003 at 8:22
Damn excellent album!! These guys should have been as big as EUROPE but I guess there can be only one...From beginning to end this album is packed with excellent melodies & fabulous riffing without sounding cliche at all...'Sole Survivor', 'World of Promises', 'Take Me...', 'You're The One I Want' are the highlights in melody but the whole album is strong & very professionally executed from playing to production...A must-have!

From: mauricio Date: December 6, 2003 at 21:02
in my opinion i been searchin this fuckin album for years , well this album came to costarica with a great delay in may 1989 with the song world of promises . its very hard to find in costarica.but in this 2003 i made my dream come true ,it sounds like europe. and have the pleasure priciple.too. thanks treat for that great fuckin music

From: JESSICA96FISH Date: March 6, 2004 at 12:03
how anyone can say anything bad about this master cd.not a bad song in sight.one of my fav albums.BUY BUY BUY........

From: AOR666 Date: April 21, 2004 at 2:01
'Dreamhunter' is definitely one of the classic Scandi-AOR records. Don't listen to what that pathetic Freddy de Keyzer (=AOR Freaky) said about this CD. That guy is even far below the average.... :mad

From: Sean Date: April 21, 2004 at 16:09
Treat: Dreamhunter album is fantastic. Beautiful Harmonies.

From: TIM (2) Date: May 27, 2004 at 4:40
I haven't heard many U.S/Canadian acts produce as consistent an album as this one before... All those big acts produced great CDs but not sure they ever released one with no fillers at all. I love every track on this, and I disagree about the vocalist. Mats Leven has a better range, but not sure he would've suited this smooth AOR as well. This is second only to Europe's 'Out of this World' in terms of Scandi pure AOR. Anyone who has the version with the bonus track listed above please post to sa

From: TIM (2) Date: May 27, 2004 at 4:41
cont... to say how good this is, as I only have the original release...?

From: TIM (2) Date: June 1, 2004 at 6:55
P.s. Another great scandi band was Big Talk with their E.P 'Time of Dreams'. Killer stuff, and although they never released an entire CD (therefore never made it onto H.H) if you love this scandi sound you will love it.

From: Big Papa K Date: June 15, 2004 at 16:23
A Swedish act trying to sound like Europe? No surprise, but Treat do turn out some good songs on this. Half of it is excellent pompy hair metal 'Sole Survivor', 'Your The One I Want', 'Take Me On Your Wings', and 'World Of Promises'. The rest is kind of bland. 5/10

From: Ray Date: June 21, 2004 at 0:59
Ernlund's vocals sound better on this CD - more range. Some good big sounding soungs on here. I definately wanna get Organized Crime since this album and Pleasure Principle are good. TIM (2) - I have this CD reissue. The CD was produced well and sounds clear. Not sure how it compares to the original, as I don't have the original. But this reissue sounds real good.

From: TIM (2) Date: June 21, 2004 at 4:20
Hey Ray, is the bonus track ('Hush') any good? Isn't on my copy... You may well be a touch disappointed by 'Organized Crime' after this, as it's a bit more guitar-based and has some fillers. Still sounds awesome though, and has the trademark crystal-clear production.

From: Paolo Date: June 21, 2004 at 4:29
The bonus trk on the reissue is titled 'TUSH' and is the cover of the wellknown ZZ Top song, appeared for the 1st time as b-side of the 'Best of me' single, Treat made it very well, they were superb musicians indeed!!

From: Paolo Date: June 21, 2004 at 4:35
Organized Crime was another clear example of scandinavian MHR, with a bit more enphasis on the guitars and a little less on the keys but still a bunch of high class songs full of unforgetable melodies leaded by the singer Robert Ernlund. It was a pity after that aldum he left the band....his replacement Mats Leven totally changed their trademark sound and the whole band quickly split....sad

From: Ray Date: August 1, 2004 at 23:07
TIM(2)- As Paolo said, this site actually has the bonus track incorrectly listed as 'Hush'. It is actually called 'Tush' and is a cover song. It's a bluesy rock song and Treat does it more Hard Rock. I recently picked up Organized Crime and love it! It's my favorite Treat album. Ernlund's vocals sound better(seems his voice gets more range and sounds better on each following album)and the guitar smokes compared to the other albums - I'm a guitar player, so I enjoy that.

From: Bill Date: August 9, 2004 at 12:39
10 tracks, 10 hits, Rating 100/100, not a síngle bad moment on the entire album, they didn´t get the success they hardly deserved. BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY before it will be rare as hell again. I wonder what BON JOVI would do if he came up with a song like 'You´re The One I Want', a world wide #1 hit, promised!!!!!

From: Geoff Date: August 30, 2004 at 1:55
This is where the party really started! From the instant the brilliant 'Sole survivor' hits the speakers you know you've found a golden nugget. The most perfectly excecuted verses ever are then heard in 'Take me on your wings'. 'Best of me' is a great ballad, 'Dancin' on the edge' is melodic bliss and every other track after and inbetween is a great melodic rocker. 'Tush' is ordinary and very different from the rest of the material, but this is truly an excellent CD!

From: Rycheage Date: October 28, 2004 at 13:49
Fantastic hair metal. 'Sole Survivor', 'You're The One I Want' and 'Take Me On Your Wings' are excellent. The rest are a bit below this standard but not bad by any stretch. The rest of the songs would've been a million seller on their own, but fall a bit below the three I mentioned. You would do yourself a great favor by getting this one.

From: AdryA - Hungary Date: November 19, 2004 at 8:25
THIS TALANTED BAND WOULD HAVE DESERVED THE WORLD SUCCESS LIKE EUROPE. DREAMHUNTER & ORGANIZED CRIME ARE THEIR BEST WORKS.

From: Date: November 25, 2004 at 11:56
AOR freaky doesnt know a shit about music...for him everything is AOR LOL.

From: Italianboy Date: January 16, 2005 at 7:44
High level for this one.I think one of the most beautyful album from 80's.Melody on melody, with charming guitars, shining keyboards and exciting chorus.Winding voice of Ernlund makes the rest.Amazing songs are track 3,4,7,8,9,10 but the true masterpiece is 'Outlaw' a tune that now in 2005 after 18 years leave me,again, without words. Invito caldamente tutti gli appassionati italiani di rock melodico a procurarsi questa autentica gemma proveniente dalla Svezia.

From: Iron Mike Date: February 1, 2005 at 15:34
World of Promises rocks!!!

From: zinatra99gt Date: February 18, 2005 at 18:13
Trying to say which Scandi band I like the most is like betting at a horserace. So I can't say whom is better...Treat, Dalton, DaVinci, Fate or Skagarack. All of them are very good, and constantly stay in heavy rotation. I think all the Treat releases are real 'treats' to listen to. I here Red Fun is good too, but I play hell trying to get it on ebay. Easy action is awesome too. Let me stop.....I would be here all day.

From: Swriter Date: April 2, 2005 at 12:57
well, no luck in finding Pleasure Principle yet but I found this one!!!! never hearing anything from this band, I was surprised, this is a good disk, reminds me of a mix of Skagarack/Europe/Icon/Autograph. Great catchy songs more in the aor area then hard rock, cool keys. I really like this one, Soul Survivor, Your the One, Best of me, Outlaw, and Glory. I enjoy the vocals!!!! Now to find Pleasure Principle!!!

From: Erik Date: August 14, 2005 at 4:21
Absolute killer album. Just read the comments of Geoff and Zinatra99gt. Says it all. A true Scandi melodic rock gem. And Your the one i want is my faaaaaaaaaavorite song. LOVE IT !

From: pereira Date: October 13, 2005 at 18:58
JUST BEATIFUL!!! one of my all time favorites! este album, juntamente con THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE y ORGANIZED CRIME son de lo mas lindo ke he eskuxado!!! la cancion SOLE SURVIVOR abre este album en perfecion, estes albums los escuchare por siempre!!!

Erik,I don t know if Road Ratt is hard to find now, years ago it was easy to find, now I don t have idea sincerely…BTW is not great as Great King Rat but even a good one IMO,ask to Geoff!!!

From: Erik Date: November 9, 2005 at 11:22
So Geoff do you know of the band as mentioned by z4roxx. Road Ratt that is ? cheers

From: Geoff Date: November 9, 2005 at 19:40
Hey Erik, yeah Road Ratt are a cool band. Definately recommended for fans of Great King Rat. I think it is the first song I really love, but there are some great ones. I think I got the CD off ebay for about usd$2.00 about 2-3 years ago.

From: Erik Date: November 10, 2005 at 10:57
cheers Geoff ! Will keep my eye out for the Road Ratt release

One of the top rated 'Scandies' out there and I certainly won't argue with that fact. I also really love 'The Pleasure Principle' aswell, but this one just tops it because as rightly mentioned, it's consistency value. Fabulous stuff from start to finish, although the Bonus track 'Tush' is an unnecessary addition.

From: lubub Date: February 6, 2006 at 5:36
Hello! What a great band. Search the tv live show from RTL mosh Live at Monsters of Rock - Schweinfurt 1988. If you know somthing about that show let a info on this side or lubub@gmx.net

From: metalguf Date: February 24, 2006 at 10:59
Treat is one of mine all time favorite. The best song is the legendary song 'Best of me' it will be a part of the history of all times ballads. I have heard it many many many times. A MUST HAVE!!!!

From: HaremScarem Date: March 8, 2006 at 20:17
I agree with you metalguf. 'Best of me' is the best song in this album. GREAT SONG and fantastic band. Que temazo este de Best of me, magico! El disco en general 8,5/10

From: Treat_Brazil Date: April 15, 2006 at 15:41
Wow!...This is a PERFECT HARD ROCK/AOR ALBUM!!! The beginning with 'SOLE SURVIVOR' is perfect and standouts includes 'Take Me On Your Wings' (Perfect mid-tempo ballad), 'You're The One I Want', 'Best Of Me', and the heavy rockin' 'OUTLAW'. 'WORLD OF PROMISES', i think it's the better known TREAT tune, ad the video is AWESOME!!!...A Classic. If anyone would like to be introduced to TREAT should look to 'Organized Crime' or this one....CLASSIC!

From: (CZ)mark-t Date: April 26, 2006 at 14:07
HIIIII OMG TREAT IS BACK? I have new CD:Treat - Weapons of Choise 1984-2006 and have new track? I burn for you,Go,We are one TREAT is back? with vocal.Robert Emlund.

YEEEEEEEH ans YEEEEES TREAT IS BACK now!!!!!!!!!!!! legendary Swedish AOR/hard rock group TREAT have reformed and are in the process of writing new material. The band, who were successful in Sweden, Japan and Germany in the late '80s, are are planning to release a 'greatest hits' album next spring featuring three brand-new songs.

From: West Of Sunset Date: July 2, 2006 at 1:05
I have to say that this is an special cd for me because i obtained it when i was 16 in a bargain bin (now i´m 26) for a cheap price and i like it a lot, very special songs like 'sole survivor' or 'world of promises', but the singer is one of the worst singer i have ever heard. It´s a shame, ´cause with a good singer, this would be a really memorable cd.9/10 for the music, 2/10 for the singer.a real shame but i have really enjoyed this gem throughout the years. contact:westofsunset@hotmail.com

From: Wacke Danzig Date: July 15, 2006 at 8:19

Masterpiece! Must have! Buy or die!

From: Pudelrockarn Date: March 4, 2007 at 11:08
Masterpiece indeed, how can you go wrong with this album? World of Promises and You're the One I Want are the classics! 10 out of 10.

Classic scandi aor at it´s best, the first time i´ve heard drive me crazy, guitars and keyboards are pure AOR heaven, beatiful ballad in the form of Best of me,Take me on your wings,World of promises,Outlaw are orgasmic songs, a "must" for any collection,TREAT is one of my favorites bands,10/10.

From: hair metal again Date: September 26, 2009 at 2:52
very good release by masters of melodic hard rock treat.the sound here is polished and clear and the band seems in a perfect condition.all the songs are remarkable and especially "take me on your wings" and "outlaw".treat deserved better, but they just couldnt find a hit that would reveal their talent to the mass of rock fans.i think its a "cult" band for us and will always be.so excited i ll catch them live in firefest in about 1 month.see you there

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 2, 2011 at 21:30
Recommended album by Treat!!!..excellent songs and great melodies...a must for Hard Rock/AOR fans ..."Outlaw" & "World Of Promises" are my fave ones but also another goodies are "You're The One I Want,"Take Me On Your Wings",the solid ballad "Best Of Me",the catchy one "Dancing On The Edge" and the one that rocks "Tush" which is a ZZ Top cover...get this fast!.90/100

From: 123charpenay Date: February 14, 2012 at 12:17
a killer album.no filler only killer.scandi a o r as it best.the zz top cover is excellent and amazing cause the big sound of southnern rock is not their real style.no problem they win.all serious fans of scandi melodic rock have this record in their collection.

From: titothetitan Date: November 7, 2017 at 11:49
For me, Coup de Grace is by far their best album. I didn't like their first 2 albums much. This one is way better. There are some really good songs in it, but the production is horrendous. It took me at least 3 listens to get used to. First two songs are OK, nothing more. Then track 3 is very catchy. Track 4, 6, 7 are the highlights of the album. Then comes a lot of samey and repetetive - but not bad - songs (8,9,10,11).

From: titothetitan Date: April 11, 2018 at 15:45
'Tush' cover is totally unnecessary and out of place in this album.

From: titothetitan Date: July 31, 2018 at 15:01
This album slowly grew up in me and now it's one of favourites hard/melodic rock albums of all-time. Along with H.e.a.t - Freedom Rock, Strangeways - Walk in the Fire, Bad English, Alien, ArcAngel, Fair Warning. Just to mention a few.

From: KermitTheFrog Date: January 10, 2024 at 17:16
Best song is "Take Me on Your Wings," which starts off great and has a decent chorus, though not enough to really put the song I've the edge. I'm finding this with a lot of Treat songs, consistently good but nothing I'd consider a classic.
