This CD has two good songs at the most.If you want a great female fronted band buy Saraya's second release or ALYSON AVENUE from www.aorheaven.com

From: Nancy Wilson Date: October 10, 2001 at 1:03
This CD sucks...

From: Jezzer Date: April 8, 2002 at 19:43
Heart/ Zeppelin influenced CD, with great female vocals from Teresa Straley and some great tunes . Nice one

From: Tony Date: April 23, 2002 at 9:49
Just "alright" cd. Bought it at the time because "Pictures" was just such an awesome song but it turned out that was the ONLY awesome song!! She has a great voice and the musicianship is excellent but just REEKS of a hastily thrown together studio band to record a few songs. With a voice like that though it would have been interesting to see what she could have done naturally!!

From: TIM Date: May 29, 2002 at 0:17
I liked about 2 songs, the rest was a joke.

From: decepcionado Date: September 29, 2002 at 21:37
me esperaba algo como saraya pero no fue el caso, sin embargo no todas las canciones son malas, hay que conocer mas grupos para saber lo que le gusta a uno y ser selectivo rating 60/100

From: koogles Date: September 30, 2002 at 9:13
Secondary female fronted hard rock on the same level as Bad Romance, Pleasure Bombs etc. Teresa Straley sounds like a bargain bin version of Fiona.

From: Great Dane Date: January 7, 2003 at 8:34
The track Chain Reaction, makes this cd worth buying. Good track.

From: Poison Arrow Date: January 9, 2003 at 13:33
sometimes I listen to this disc and think, wow. sometimes I think fuck that's awful. Paradoxical eh.

From: Great Dane Date: January 10, 2003 at 1:02
Hey PA. just the way I feel too. Chain Reaction, is outstanding though.

From: Poison Arrow Date: January 10, 2003 at 9:23
Yes you're right great dane. Chain Reaction has a very memorable chorus, great song. I also enjoy Don't say we're over, which comes across as sincere and emotional.

From: Kathilyn King Date: January 9, 2004 at 21:52
Teresa Straley is one of the most awesome and astonishing vocalists I've ever heard. I'm a singer myself and this record changed my life when I bought it along time ago. Her lyrics and voice left me breathless and one morning I found her studio number, called her up, she answered herself, and I told her how awesome she was. Great record, songs and musicianship by Tommy and Pat and the gang. I saw Teresa live at a club and was blown away and so inspired as a musician myself. If you ever read this

From: Lk771 Date: February 28, 2004 at 2:45
I was very eager to hear this when it came out because being from the Seattle,WA area I knew about Brian Jennings(guitarist)being on this. He was one of only 2 people that ever made it to this status coming out of the pre-grunge Seattle hard rock scene that joined an LA band. He played in Teaser out of Bremerton. He is/was a fantastic guitarist. Hey Glenn Fair and Mike (can't remember your last name) from Misbehavin' -I hope you guys read this someday. Teaser/Misbehavin' were killer bands too.

From: Rycheage Date: March 13, 2004 at 23:41
The opening brace of songs are in a word...'wicked'. The beefed up riffarama of 'Chain Reaction', the immense atmospheric power of 'Silence' and the classic ballad 'Don't Say We're Over' all point to class emanating through the grooves. 'When You Love Someone' sounds unerringly like Hardline. The Eyes comparison is evident on 'Beyond Control'. 'Pictures' sounds like Heart on steroids while 'Edge Of Love' weaves a melodic tale of balladry where Regan's keyboards lay a nice backdrop.

From: Geoff Date: February 11, 2005 at 23:15
Faster Pussycat once said 'Wake me when it's over' and I believe they were speaking of this CD. Wonderful musical cast but they forgot to employ a songwriter. Where are they, these songs? I see 10 song titles without a single memorable chorus or hook. What a disappointing and forgettable bunch of songs. Huge shame, because this solidly played but severly lacking.

From: kieren Date: February 28, 2005 at 16:22
This album is the world to me. The track pictures brings back memories of my now X girlfriend. I wish that I could have seen souch a good group live. Teresa strawley has a voice to die for. The vocal harmonies are the best I have ever heard.

From: z4roxx Date: February 28, 2005 at 18:10
One of the worst cd ever heard.Awful band, boring from the first to the last song.Avoid.

Yeah Decent AOR/Melodic Rock album not Glam! Don't Say We're Over, Silence, Edge of Love y por ahi When you love someone lo mejor del album, una banda de segunda liga en lo referente a Female Fronted.

From: Clayton77 Date: January 2, 2007 at 16:16
Heart meets Led Zep..."Edge of Love" is awesome and THE outstanding track!!!

From: z4roxx Date: May 8, 2007 at 3:38
Ahaha where is glam here?Yes it's a decent one but it did sound gooder to me after 10 years. Some good riff around a good voice....the rate is too high IMO,7/10.

From: CLUTCH Date: May 1, 2008 at 18:04
A lot of negative remarks about this one and I just don't get it (the remarks, that is). I think this is a fantastic cd with the STRONGEST of female voices. Looking back, I think it just went over people's heads. OK, the songs are not the greatest ever written but the musicianship is top notch, and again, Teresa's vocals are outstanding. Grab this one if you're into power and passion from a female voice.

From: DanDare Date: August 24, 2008 at 19:22
Great vocals and the songs are well played, but really there is not a single melody on the album. When I listened to the album for a second time I recognised 'Chain Reaction' from the first listen. I wouldn't recommend this album unless you like sub-Heart shouting and, with no hooks or riffs. 40/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 2, 2009 at 16:38
As you can read above some of these comments (which i respect entirely) say that this is avergare rock with some Led Zeppelin (???¿¿¿) influence and so on...well 4 me this album is not good or bad,i mean,it has wonderful songs such as the opener "Chain Reaction","Silence" (with a very sensitive lyric),"Don't Say We're Over"(beautiful ballad),the AOR-ish "Cry Murder" and a nice closing song "Edge Of Love" but perhaps these songs were overshadowed by bands or singers as Saraya (many pseudo comparissons here written) or Vixen and the same Heart itself.I'll give this album an 85/100

From: metalhead69 Date: January 6, 2009 at 19:55
Hey rick it's funny there would be 2 comments about this cd in 2009! Just picked this up today for $5 at a local cd store. Used to have it back in the day but somehow it disappeared over the years. Nothing really special here but a good cd overall...love "Chain Reaction", "Silence" & "No Escape" & her voice is incredible! Also forgot that Tommy Thayer played guitar on it till I looked at the credits. Within the past 2 months I've found this cd & the first Saraya cd... now if I could just get my hands on that Femme Fatale cd....

From: rick kerch vzla Date: January 8, 2009 at 0:23
Try 2 get that Femme Fatale's cd metalhead69!!!..is worth it!!!...kinda same thing as Saraya and Vixen...better than this one???...if you like female fronted rock bands it might appeal 2 your likes!!!...cheers brother!!!

From: 123charpenay Date: April 8, 2010 at 12:58
i don t understand the negatives comments about this cd.the singer have a fantastic voice, the guitarist is a genius ,and the production is perfect.ok there is 2 fillers track 5 and 7.the rest is very great.tracks 2 and 3 are marvellous.a high class female hard fm album like saraya or femme fatale for exemple.hightly recommanded!!!!!!!!

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: April 8, 2010 at 16:05
Was this the band that also did that dumb "Rock The Box" song?

From: alleyrulez Date: December 30, 2011 at 16:40
LOVE this album. sure, not every song was a winner, but "Empty" and "When You Love Someone" are well worth the price of the disc.

From: hair metal again Date: January 8, 2012 at 1:25
excellent release by HARLOW back in 90 and i d say that this is similar to the Romeos Daughter debut with some US guitar sound by Tommy!the musicianship and the sound is astonishing ,the songwriting ok and for me HARLOW sdebut is one of those releases that made those years the best in the history of hard rock music.highlights are "chain reaction","don t say we re over","no escape" and "beyond control"

From: dany69 Date: April 17, 2019 at 18:06
