In my opinion this is one of the best bands and were very underrated!! It is sad to see a band with so much talent hit like a flash in a pan and then be gone. I wish the members the best of luck and hope for the slim chance of a reunion.

From: jonnathan Date: June 12, 2001 at 23:37
this is a great album shame things didnt work out for the guys but any group this puts christina applegate in there video is cool with me . check out the band the loveless that is them with a different name which came out after this.

From: Rockhead Date: October 12, 2001 at 10:06
Great Rock-n-Roll cd. If you like the Black Crowes, you'll like this one.

From: metal_man73 Date: October 31, 2001 at 12:49
I could not get enough of this cd!!! "Rattlesnake Kisses" and "Home Sweet Homicide" are just a few of the highlights on this cd.I give this one a 9!!!

From: Emilio Date: December 1, 2001 at 10:57
Is a good band,if you like "the original Hard-rock" this is your band.My favorite song is "I live in the city"

From: koogles Date: January 11, 2002 at 6:50
Despite a cover that makes you think Black Crowes or London Quireboys, Electric Angels actually recall an under-dose of Bret Michaels fronting a subdued L.A. Guns or a restrained Shotgun Messiah. Bluesy enough to be real, glam enough to be fun, Electric Angels are now a collectible plate in the Franklin Mint of heavy metal CDs.

From: CC Date: February 20, 2002 at 22:07
If anyone is interested they changed their name for the second CD. The name of the band was "THE LOVELESS". Nothing like Electric Angels but worth a listen.

From: The Frost Date: March 11, 2002 at 1:31
This was an awsome album!! Very clean, and to be on Married...With Children, dancing with Christina Applegate.DAMN!!:eek!8.50 out of 10.There was a band named "The Guttercats" doing a song on Married...With Children called"Decoy Woman" That looked like "Electric Angels"or members of "London Quire Boys". Who were they? A different band or What? Can someone help clear this up for me?

From: RichieRocker Date: May 12, 2002 at 18:56
A very underated band, I take it everybody agress with me I hope, this album ios just pure rock n roll music> Great vocals and instrument utilization by all the band members, Ive got at least a half dozen of my friends and aquantances hooked on this CD. They think they should have a reunion and so do I.

From: Reno Date: May 28, 2002 at 20:47
The 2nd cd was crap I hate to say. There was nothing Rock N Roll about it. Just boring and slow jazzy blues stuff. I got it and flashed through the tracks and took it to the pawn shop. The first cd will always kick ass. I also think they should get back together and do another Electric Angels cd.

From: RichieRocker Date: June 22, 2002 at 20:43
These guys rock sooo much!!! very underrated and very talented they should have been bigger than all of the other bands that made it big in this ttimeframe. This is a very hard album to procure, so look on Ebay thats how i got mine. Its worth every penny.

From: Baris Date: September 23, 2002 at 7:59
Not bad album but also this Quireboys-looking so called glam band puts forward nothing new and interesting. (As can be seen in their easy name!) A good-rockin' sound but after a time it becomes boring with the songs which are alike each other. I got somewhat bothered to finish listening till the end and questioned myself does it worth to buy. So it can be described as good music but ordinary.

From: drag_in-Bones t Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:02
Nothing like a great album filled to the rim with great songs, sounds, lyrics and attitude. That's spunk n tenacity for ya!!! A 12 song testimony of urban angst and romance-gone-as-sour-as-year-old-milk set to sturdy, catchy, somewhat poppy rock music, but to me that all fly's!!! The band is solid straight down to earth!!! Guitarist Ryan Roxie and drummer John Schubert deliver straight-up rock chops sharp n precise with plenty of heat!!! Now I go down the lead singer "Alley"(Smash Alley)

From: Drag-in-Bones Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:21
Shane, the perfect front man for the job,(No not Shane Cuny my friends, which would be another great front man), but Shane the lead singer for "Electric Angels". A sullen but not pouty, able to maneuver his way through like a vet character actor, and equipped with the looks that'll keep any gal lingering in her own little penetration zone!!! Now, on the other side of moist, there is the trump card Jonathan Daniel( No not Jack Daniels) I'am talkin the one that wrote all but 1 song on the CD.

From: Drag-in-Bones Date: September 23, 2002 at 23:40
Daniel's has winge shoed some winners, most of which paint bittersweet, or just plain bitter, looks at love and life set to rancid up tempo, kickin Rock N' Roll!!! The end result is catchy music that leads you down the Angel's dark back Alley ("Smash Alley".) Ok, no more permoting!!! "Blame it on the bottle of 100 proof". Indeed, we have all been there but right now it's only 80 proof Bacardi and if I don't slow down I'am going to Spew Brown sugar Chunks!!! I love ya Man!!!9 out of 10.

From: Chris Date: October 11, 2002 at 10:44
Awesome band! Deserved way more recognition and should have been way bigger.

From: jarett r. Date: December 4, 2002 at 6:09
ryan roxie also played with dad's porno mag, slash's snakepit, alice cooper, and i've heard, angel city outlaws.

From: jarett r. Date: April 14, 2003 at 21:22
ryan roxie, johnathan daniel, and john schubert were all in candy before they were in electric angels.

BUEN DISCO,BUEN GRUPO,BUEN CANTANTE Y BUENAS GUITARRAS, ESTE DISCO ESTA MUYYYY BIEN HECHO

From: gener8tr Date: January 21, 2004 at 18:29
This is a great CD for those of you (us) who miss the late 80's / early 90's style of glam metal. Some of the lyrics are somewhat "cheezy," but overall it's a fun recording.

From: T-Bone Date: March 15, 2004 at 10:14
Actually CC, they did NOT change their name for a second CD. It was basically a new band with some of The Electric Boys members called The Loveless. I have the demo's for what was supposed to be the Electric Boys 2nd cd. It's called The NY Times Demos and they ROCK! There's 17 tracks so I'm assuming there might have possible been a 3rd coming also.

From: Class of 1982 Date: March 17, 2004 at 17:05
The CD is terrific. I got it from a buddy of mine who burned me a copy as he was able to own the CD. My buddy and I went to High School with Shane. Let's just say, his name is not Shane and his hometown is in Upstate New York. I worked for his dad who owned a Pet Food Supply Warehouse back in the mid-1980's. I won't divulge anymore, as his secret identity is as important to him as it is to Superman or Batman. Missed you at the Class Renunion Shane. Folks were asking about you.

From: T-Bone Date: March 21, 2004 at 1:16
On my copy, some of the tracks are cut off before the end. I'd like to have complete songs. There's a few that are complete. Hopefully, they can get together some day and make the demo's available for us in an official release. It's a very good cd!

From: Chad Date: April 11, 2004 at 1:27
Hey T-Bone- I would be willing to trade a copy of the 1st album for a copy of your NY Times Demos. Contact me at erdmannchad@hotmail.com

From: MJ (Marla) Date: April 11, 2004 at 10:59
WOW.......you learn something new every day!! I didn't know Ryan Roxie was in Electric Angels!! He's got a new gig goin' on called Roxie 77, with some really great stuff!!! http://www.roxie77.com/roxie77/index.html (check out the song "Beat 'Em"....I LOVE it!!) Back on topic....."Rattlesnake Kisses", "The Drinking Song" and "Whiplash" are my faves. on this disc...

From: T-Bone Date: April 11, 2004 at 18:56
I already have both albums Chad

From: Jim Date: April 15, 2004 at 17:58
I actually saw them perform in the late 80's in North Newark. They were GREAT. Watching Shane spin around is something I will never forget. Drinking Song was the theme song of one of my old girlfriends-I think it was written just for/about her. Maybe someday they will do another show somewhere. One can hope--

From: Finbar O'Lordan Date: May 25, 2004 at 22:13
Greatest Rock CD of the 1990's. Jonathan Daniels... a genius in an era where a loser like Jonathan Davis can be a big star... Shane was the last of the rock stars...

From: jirky Date: June 13, 2004 at 16:15
GREAT ALBUM.

From: Rocker76 Date: July 22, 2004 at 12:37
Good sleaze metal album in the vein of Tuff, Kills for Thrills, Outlaw Blood, or D'Molls. Standout tracks for me included "Dangerous Drug," "Last Girl on Earth," and "Home Sweet Homicide." Not the best stuff in the world but def. recommended if you run across a good used copy.

From: Rycheage Date: August 14, 2004 at 17:36
Real good sleaze glam metal album with just enough blues dripping throughout to keep it from going over the top. "Last Girl On Earth", "I Believe" and "Rattlesnake Kisses" are the cream of the crop IMO. Good if you can find the price reasonable.

From: Denise Date: August 16, 2004 at 12:47
One of my most favorite bands ever. Was lucky enough to see live dozens of times. Too bad Shane was anti-females.

From: Chad Date: October 1, 2004 at 19:51
Just acquired the demos to the second album and Wow! Too bad that it was never released. It has stronger songwriting and the same tongue in cheek lyrics from Shane. This would have been a huge album. These guys only touched the surface with the debut. Somebody needs to put the 2nd one out! Great rock and roll.

From: jesper olsen Date: December 27, 2004 at 7:57
does anybody know anything about Shane? IŽd like to know if Shane has released any new album since then. Could anybody help me get Electric Angels demos to their second album please?

From: john schubert Date: December 29, 2004 at 8:51
Shane is well and living in NYC as are Jonathan Daniel and myself. Ryan is in L.A. and may move to Europe soon. He's been with Alice Cooper for years now. For the record, there was never a second album, just a bunch of lousy works-in-progress demos that float around, but we prefer you didn't hear them. For some real fun, check out some old trax (and an Angels unreleased song) on a CANDY cd at Songtree.com

From: C.J. Scheck Date: January 4, 2005 at 15:14
I LOVE THIS CD! One of my faves! I also really dig LOVELESS! Anyone who likes Electric Angels try and find the Loveless CD (GOOD LUCK)!

From: Class of 82 Date: February 11, 2005 at 8:34
John Schubert, Pass along our greetings to T.R. Tell him, a couple of the old leather-clad Highlights punkers from KHS stopped by Nashville last summer to see the lead singer for the Manikenz. We had a great time and Shane's name was brought up as well as a couple of other guys from the past. We did miss him at the class reunion, perhaps, for the 25th? Later, an old friends and Highlights staff members.

From: Class of '82 Date: February 11, 2005 at 8:40
P.S. It wasn't Shane's father who owned the Pet Food Store in the area, it was the dad of another of the old gang. KHS and Coke forever - screw Pepsi! Where's Uncle George's when you have the craving? Catch ya down by the Wall Shane!

From: Geoff Date: March 22, 2006 at 21:09
Yeah, this is pretty good stuff. Much better than the Quireboys, Black Crowes and that sort of stuff. There is some great unique song writing here... and like MJ I had no idea this was the Ryan Roxie of the Roxie 77 album I also just heard! 'Love and other fairytales' is the clear standout for me - what a touching ballad that one is. Of the others, 'Last girl on earth', 'Cars crash' and 'Rattlesnake Kisses' are my faves. Good enjoyable rock n'roll.

From: manicmurderdoll Date: April 25, 2006 at 18:03
This isnt classic glam or sleaze. What it is is ass kicking rock and roll with lyrics that challenge you to actually think. I'm on my third copy of the cd, this is my favorite album of all time simply because I can pop it in and let it play start to finish. I don't even know who to compare their sound to,its just good music. Damn good. Best tracksangerous Drug, Cards Crash, Last Girl on Earth, and The Drinking song. Who cares if Shane is into girls or not? Baby boy could sing!

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: October 28, 2007 at 14:28
pues esta onda no me va mucho pero si hay buenos temas hay que comentarlos pero aqui no es el caso temas fiesteros para mi gusto muy desagradable....

From: hernanHRM/AOR Date: October 28, 2007 at 14:35
ah perdon lo mejorcito del disco "Home Sweet Homicide"...

From: rexxhavik Date: November 22, 2008 at 14:27
man oh man where to start...i heard Rattlesnake Kisses on an 80s-90s show in my area a few weeks back & that started me looking. my friend sent me a copy of this & the Loveless disc & this hasn't left the CD player since. as much as i like Rattlensake Kisses the song that has become my favorite is without a doubt Last Girl On Earth. (we all know a few women like that). Live in the City could be about any city in America these days (except we don't have 7-11's here...man I miss 7-11's). in short this CD rocks from track 1 to the closing notes of the Drinking Song...i'm just sorry it took me so long to find it.

From: rockhardrock Date: March 25, 2009 at 9:27
i like this one very much and am asking myself why didn't they released more albums-what went wrong?grunge? it starts wierd, but then it's just gettin better. my fav here: I Live In The City, Rattlesnake Kisses, Dangerous Drug, True Love And Other Fairy Tales (one of my fav. rock ballads) and Home Sweet Homicide.

From: edwithmj Date: March 11, 2010 at 20:03
A very unique band with a very unique sound. Excellent sleazy tracks throughout the album with Rattlesnake Kisses, Head Above Water, Dangerous Drug and Last Girl On Earth being the best. 95/100

From: rocksoul Date: August 24, 2011 at 4:03
Very good cd. New reissue by rock candy soon. If you have not this one, it's a unique chance for get yours. Very good sound and songs for all cd

From: JONBONPIGO Date: November 19, 2013 at 17:52
Rattlesnake Kisses is the standout. Whiplash is close behind. The Drinking Song & True Love and Fairy Tales are pretty good as well.. Overall Album: C+ Top Song: A- (Rattlesnake Kisses)

From: Stixx Date: July 8, 2015 at 19:30
This debut album is GREAT rock 'n' roll! Very well done. I heard a version of the demos for songs "New York times" and "God's Children" that sounded just perfect (not demo-quality at all), these were awesome songs. I bet the second album could have been just as good, which means 10/10 too.

From: hair metal again Date: June 15, 2021 at 7:29
excellent release for ELECTRIC ANGELS offering some fine glam hard rock n roll tunes with great lyrics and some great guitar work!"dangerous drug","true love and other fairy tales","live in the city" and "cars crash" are excellent songs indeed!love tha t vinyl even though there wasnt a big hit that could make the ANGELS something more
