The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Stupid laptop, put a rating in and it sent the wrong rating, so I put it in again but now the overall rating is diluted. Let's see if I can give a brief review without the thing posting it for me before I've finished.....Anyway, this is Bluebeards second release in all and comprises of a couple of tracks remastered from the original 1979 vinyl only release Bad Dream, plus one rerecorded with new vocalist Ellington Erin who replaces the original vocalist Barry Leech who sadly passed away....

...(cont) musically it has quite a 70's sound but kind of updated and it's a really enjoyable album. Some tracks remind me of a hard rock Walker Brothers  There are some great pomp rock highlights too and the original track Bad Dream could almost be a lost pomp classic. I Don't Know About Me kicks the album off with a nice solid riffing song, the album is pretty solid throughout another highlight again being the pomp tinged A Little Time Out. Maybe not as immediate as some albums ....

...ut perseverence pays rewards. I've really come to like this album a lot. So if your bag is 70's style rock with pomp overtones this could be for you. There were rumours of the whole of the original Bad Dream album being remastered and re-released...now that would be something. ... apologies for the size of the review...at least the PC made it!!
