| I loved Magic Mountain, but I think this is a small step back. The songs here are a bit heavier, but not quite as catchy, and some of that post-grunge blandness creeps back in. The band plays with enough energy to disguise the general farm-tractor tempos, and the lyrics still tend toward Hallmark-card and bumper-sticker cliches. Good songs for me are "The Way Of The Future," "Soul Machine," "Hangman," "Cheaper To Drink Alone," "Feelin' Fuzzy" and the emotional acoustic ballad "The Rambler."
